Whenever I read a good artical on something, I always save the link to a word Doctor with a brief description above the link so I know where to find it if I need it.This makes it easier instead of sifting through hundreds of links in your bookmark.
Anyway.....
Well since my list on green tea is getting so huge that I have added to for over a year, I thought I would share it. Here is my list and yes some address hairloss so it is on-topic.
Yes some are far fetched but even if half of it is true, well why not?

Of all the brands of green tea and the range of prices in the market, how can a consumer tell the best from all the rest? What should we look for when purchasing green tea?

The polyphenols in green tea help protect the body from cancer by destroying free radicals, and protect your heart by lowering cholesterol and improving lipid metabolism. If you're a coffee drinker, you'll do your body good by switching to green tea.

Here we shall focus on the process by which active oxygen combines with lipids (fats) in the body to create lipid peroxide, that is, lipid with an excessive amount of oxygen

By inducing Rho signaling, the green tea extract made the cancer cells more mature and made them bind together more closely — a process called cell adhesion. Both the maturity of the cells and the adhesion inhibited the mobility of the cancer cells, Rao said.

Research aimed at finding the active compounds in green tea revealed that its protective effects are due chiefly to catechins. Powerful polyphenolic antioxidants, catechins are astringent, water-soluble compounds that can be easily oxidized. They are a subgroup of flavonoids, weak phytoestrogenic compounds widely available in vegetables, fruit, tea, coffee, chocolate and wine. The antioxidant potential of both green and black teas, as measured by the Phenol Antioxidant Index, was found to be significantly higher than that of grape juice and red wines.

Inhibitors of 5AR may be effective in the treatment of 5 alpha dihydrotestosterone-dependent abnormalities, such as benign prostate hyperplasia, prostate cancer, and certain skin diseases. The green tea catechins are potent inhibitors of type 1 but not type 2 5AR; they also inhibit accessory sex gland growth in the rat. These results suggest the certain tea gallates can regulate androgen action in target organs. (Liao S, Hipakka, RA. Selective inhibition of steroid 5a -reductase [5AR] by tea epicatechin-3-gallate and epigallocatechin-3-gallate. Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications; 214(3), 833-838,1995).
