Which one is worse? I basicly have to chose either complete baldness in 3-4 years (maybe even less) until a cure comes out or Finasteride maintain then stop and receive cure. Thoughts?

If you want to stick to science, get on finasteride and listen only to the medical specialist. Get a second consultation from another medical specialist if you're not convinced.

The Internet is a mob-like hive mind of paranoia about finasteride and ruthless snake oil vendors smear finasteride making up horror stories. Pfs is not real. Sides are psychological. finasteride is safe or they wouldn't make it legal.

Self assessment of sides lacks control. This means that anyone who stops finasteride because he 'feels' he's getting sides is a fool who loves to be bald.

Until proven the contrary, finasteride is safe and effective. No alt methods will be out in the next 10 years, at best. Get on the drug and see if you respond well. Pray. Don't listen to the fear mongerers.

Derm straight up told me : the drug is safe and tested, there is a small chance of Erectile Dysfunction and a very slight chance of it persisting after discontinuation. you decide.

Merck was forced to put it on the leaflet because of the fear mongerers. Control studies show that sides in placebo groups were in the same proportion of the finasteride group with a difference of <0.5%. You decide. I see you love DB. Good luck with your Crilin future if you choose to gym and shave.

I hate baldness it has caused me depression and sever stress also lack of motivation. I doubt that will go away and will be even worse as the years go by. Im worried about persistent sides about finasteride though and doctors being unable to do anything about it..

pfs is real man, i got it and its horrible. but i used finasteride for a year and got sides pretty much straight away which slowly got worse over the year. was my own fault to using it so long. pfs makes you feel a certain way which only guys who get pfs can relate to. it is real

but im sure its cureable. too many guys following the cd protocol have got themselves to an even better state health wise before they used finasteride. i quit finasteride 2 years ago and gradually things have got better. but i live a shitty lifestyle. too much booze and shitty food etc. need to get my *** in gear to recover properly. i would try it and see. if you get sides quit straight away

is 94 your birthday? your like 22, 23? and nw5 soon? i would try finasteride man and see. or maybe try zix first. seems to help a lot of people without the sides.

Its a matter of what I want not others. I feel like doing anything is useless/pointless when Im just gonna be a bald loser in 3-4 years.

Man I feel eaxctly the same - that's why hairloss is so hard to function with espically when your young. Why get a college degree when you will never be happy

You should try finasteride if it bothers you like this , at least it has a chance to stop your hairloss

Really? Using a drug that crosses the blood brain barrier and alters hormones and lowers neurosteroids is going to be a big problem for one unlucky man.

I had horrible side effects on the drug.

I still have side effects that have nothe resolved months after stopping the drug.

finasteride can be a miracle for some but a poison for others.

A side effect of this drug is severe depression which can lead to suicide. Pray you don't get that side effect.

A side effect of being full on baldtie is also severe depression, which can also lead to suicide.

I've read posts on this forum saying they got ED from a shampoo, for people considering finasteride (or other drugs) read actual studies, not forum posts by people with absolutely zero proof.

It's better to fight and lose than to never fight at all.

I started finasteride when I was on the highest depression ever it disappeared since I popped a pill.

I see hair regrowth (maybe imaginary) and it cures my depression even more.

I would even call finasteride as a antidepressant drug if it really helps to your hairline and sugar pill otherwise.

I mean balding induces a huge depression and finasteride disrupts an origin of depression – that is how anti-depressant should work in my opinion. Striking on a cause not on a symptoms.

Same thing with me. Knowing that I was treating it made me happy. Even though I continued to lose hair for 6 months (although slower), then starting minoxidil aswell, continue to lose more hair for even more months and then gaining it back, now I'm almost at baseline from 2 years ago when I started finasteride.

If it wasn't for this drug I think I would be full on bald by now at 22 years old. I got zero side effects from any hairloss drugs, like most people. Alot of people who read sh*t forums such as propeciahelp will get sides because of the placebo effect. I read actual studies and talked to actual doctors, and got no sides whatsoever, the only people who get imaginary sides are the people who already read about them.

I think I would be absolutely fucked if I was NW6 at 22 like the drunk guy posted in another thread here, I'm already struggling with a passable NW2,5 and thin crown. Propecia might have saved my life, if someone doesn't dare to even try because of your post @Bobster231 , @sunchyme1 how does that make you feel?

You do know the sides can slowly creep up on you years later? Or when you stop the drug?

I had severe side effects from Propecia which still haven't gone away after usage.

I'm using ru 58841 and minoxidil.

We all wanna save our hair but denying side effects is asinine bro.

i didnt say dont try it. i said pfs is real and sides are real and they can be f*****g debilitating. propeciahelp and other sites dont exist for no reason

i didnt read any of that sh*t before i took it. i only realised i was feeling the way i was because of what i read AFTER stopping the drug

for all the newbies, go for it. i got great regrowth from it. but it fucked me up too. if it doesnt then good for u. just watch out for the sides. dont push through them.
