Update time.
So this is some point now in year 3 of my "experiment."
Still doing everything mentioned previously including the additions of the zinc shampoo and conversion to derminator 2 vs manual microneedling. I forget when but Im pretty sure I also documented I take collagen powder as well.
I also recently decided to take 2 servings of saw palmetto (pill) as well as begin using pura'dor gold label shampoo daily whereas I alternate the nizoral and zinc shampoo throughout the week. Neither of these have been done long enough to take credit for the following images. The shampoo maybe for a week and the saw palmetto literally just today.
My reasoning is that since I am already on finasteride I can dose a little saw palmetto to mitigate my DHT conversion a little more for what its worth, but then what remains and is present in my scalp Im hoping can be locally targetted by the pura'dor shampoo.
Why do I think this may be worthwhile?
Well I was thinking about how vellus hairs dont turn terminal on boys regarding their beards etc until DHT is sufficiently present and this signals the vellus hairs to go terminal. Since DHT is an inhibiting piece of sh*t on head hair follicles for those of us with genetic sensitivities to it, I figure that if I can sufficiently wipe enough DHT out of my scalp, first systemically, and second locally, my intuition is that this will create an ideal environment for the vellus follicles to fully mature. Right now theyre taking years to become what you now see—very fine, very blonde peach fuzz, almost like how my hair was when I was a baby and then a boy... Its a very slow recapitulation process. The cool thing is the pictures dont do the mirror in justice. Im hoping that in the next year or two that the fine blonde hairs will become fully terminal. Part of me suspects they will remain strangely blonde as my hair slowly darkened over my entire childhood, but the length, volume, density, and texture is what Im monitoring.
