Hi all, I’ll just give you a brief background about my situation...
I’m 24 years old NW7 with DUPA and my sides and back are quite thin, I luckily landed myself a beautiful girl at the age of 17 but unfortunately lost her due to my own insecurities with my hair as I have been shaving for 3 years, losing her gave me a kick up the *** so I’m going to uni in September and have ordered a hair system.
I have placed the order with a UK company and expecting it around April/May, it will be a lace system and will be fitted in their salon, I’m really excited for this as the pics on their site look amazing and always updating with new ones - they seemed like the best choice for me.
Now here are the doubts, I’ve been browsing the ‘impact of hair loss’ subforum and there is countless of depressing posts about there hair so it got me thinking... Surely if they’re that depressed about their situation why not do something about it? Which kinda leads me to believe they have tried it and it’s not for them? Due to maintenance I guess?
But for me obviously being NW7 with DUPA I would do anything to make it look like I have hair... If hair loss brings you down that much then surely you need to do something about it?
Another doubt is maintenance, obviously as I’m going uni 3 hours away I’m pretty much starting a new life so I don’t have the worry about the new hair, but maintaining it I guess is more of a hassle than I’ve been told? At the consultation I’ve been advised 2 systems a year and monthly clean etc, I’m not nessecarily a active person so would this be possible?
I just want everything to be cool, I understand it’s gonna be a massive lifestyle change for me but I feel like I’m ready for it especially after what’s happened to me recently, can’t put a price on feeling confident in my opinion.
Lastly as I have thin sides and back an undercut would be fine? Be able to hide the system at the back even though I have shaved back?
Thanks.
