Indeed soldiers are predominantly Republican. Who said it was 250 vs. 12, Fox News? LOL

Pay attention to the world around you Arvi....Read the book (Unfit for Command), then check Kerry's website for a list of Swift Boats who support him.

You'll see, it's actually OVER 250 of them opposed to Kerry, and a dozen or so who support him.

Oh yeah. You're right, it was Fox News.......and ABC, and NBC, and CNN....etc.

Let's see...who should I place more gravity on 12 of Kerry's felloe servicemen or 250 of them???? Hmmmm....Geeee, what a tough call.

I would certainly go for the 12 men who were actually ON THE BOAT!

I'd wager that all - or most of those 250 - are Republicans.

OH NO!..... Not (gasp!) Republicans!

You sound a total schlep. Who cares what party they are? Does your suggestion mean that if the guys who are supporting Kerry are Dems, that THIER postion is suddenly invalidated too???

I can't believe that the Republican machine would attack Kerry on his war record. I know, you right wingers will all retort back "it wasn't us, it wasn't Bush, he discredited those ads" but the fact of the matter is that those ads were funded by Republican soft money.

How hypocritical. Those unpatriotic and traitorous Republican assholes asking "well, exactly how DEEP does a wound have to be to qualify for a purple heart" whereas at that exact same time, what the f*** was Bush doing?! Flying jets over Houston to counter the impending VietCong attack on Texas? Getting drunk at night, and then getting arrested for hitting the highways of Midland under the influence.... all the while Kerry is spending that same night a continent away, in uniform, as a VOLUNTEER and not a conscript, in some mosquito-ridden bayou in Vietnam?

Bush = No Credibility, after those swiftboat ads against Kerry. Disgraceful.

Oh puhhhleeeaase!

You want to talk about Soft Money Gardner???? Which party has the 527's out in FORCE rigth now??? Which party is taking FULL advantage of surrogate attack groups?

Ever heard of The MediaFund?....MoveOn.org?......Americans Coming Together?....JointVictoryCampaign?....Need I continue?

How about the full length feature film made by a man PROVEN to distort facts and twist reality and who's self described only purpose for existence is to defeat GW?

How about a party that takes millions and millions of $'s from a radical leftist like George Soros? You know, the guy who thinks all drugs should be legal. The guys who openly prefers a socialistic form of governance over a democratic one...

I don't see John Kerry disavowing ANY of the distortions these groups are flooding the airwaves with...At least thew Bush camp is willing to disassociate itself with the Swift Boat vets. I actually think they shouldn't, but that's another discussion.

You know, if you really paid attention you'd see that the questions the Swift Boat guys have about Kerry's wounds aren't about how deep the wounds were....it was about WHO made the wounds in the first place. Their position was that at least two of the wounds happened because of his own stupidity (accidentaly self inflicted)....Medals can not be awarded for such wounds according to MILITARY REGULATIONS.

I personally don't give a sh*t about his medals or how he got them. What I care about is the fact that he's bullshitted us about what and how he did things in Vietnam and now he has the nerve to foist his service as the primary reason we should elect him....all after telling the whole world what War Criminals his fellow service men were in Vietnam. A LOT of the things he participated in when he came home from Vietnam CAUSED the disgusting and comdemnable treatment of our soldiers on thier return from the same place.

Republicans didn't bring his service into this election....JOHN KERRY DID. If you don't think he should have to defend that record, then I suggest you contact his campaign and tell them that his service so long ago should not be a made a highlight of his campaign.

Me personnally??? I'd like to see him defend his Senate voting record....that by itself is enough to get him tanked in the election. Problem is, HE KNOWS it, and will avoid his Senate record like the plague. Mark my words.

BiteMe - Okay, you're a dick, we all get it. A hateful Republcian dick. Listen to your own harsh, vindictive, critical words before you attack others for theirs.

I'll just be happy when this is all over and that imbecile Bush is back in Crawford, digging up weeds or whatever it is that he does.

If his last name wasn't Bush how far do you think he would have gotten in life?

Seriously, he'd be lucky to be elected President of the homeowners association. Voting for Kerry (as ridiculous as he is) is simply a way of getting rid of a guy who has no intellectual curiosity, who brags that he doesn't read books or the newspaper, who's dyslexic and cannot process information in a timely manner, (save that of what Karl Rove puts before him to say) This guy cannot admit that he made ANY mistakes. He cannot see things in shades of gray. He's dangerous, as is his radical right-wing administration.

But you love him, so me must be great. Cause of course, you're ALWAYS right. Just like GW. idiot.... :hairy:

See what you did HairLossTalk.com! You had to get us started...

BiteMe, if these "250" people have twice your decency, that would still make them highly unreliable. By the way, who certified the 250 count, Katherine Harris?

Come on man, Kerry shouldnt of made a big part of his campaign his Viet record. Now he is paying for it.........250,2,5,10...the word is out and even if half of the sh*t they say about Kerry is false, he still lied.

Also, why does everyone resort to name calling when we simply express our own opinions. Bring up politics and all hell breaks loooossseee!

Shove it Midnight.... Frankly I care not what sort of body appendage you think I am...I think you're a complete boob...so what?

FOR THE RECORD- I am a registered Independant. Conservative as all hell...but Independant and registered as such none-the-less. :boid:

You need to quite trying to sit on both sides of the fence. You people have been nothing but vitriolic in your rhetoric....how typical of you to say that I'm "harsh, vindictive, etc." when the truth is, it is you that have shown to be the hateful one.

And for the record, I ain't attacking Jack-sh*t...capice? I'm trying to tell you guys that the Swift Boats Vets have just as much right to be heard as anyone else...That their story MUST be looked at because John Kerry has decided to make Vietnam his PRIMARY reason for why we should make him POTUS.

You are the only one displaying pure biased HATE. Get used to the accusation because you libbies have been living off of HATE for years now. It's finally caught up with you. It must really suck to be you Midnight.

....Besides, you're just pissed off because you know I'm right and it frustrates you that you can't shut them (or me) up. I'm sure it also pisses you off that the DEMs picked such a weak candidate. You know, they would have had a shot at getting a peice of the conservative vote this year if they would feilded someone with a little more intellectual honesty. Say a Lieberman or Miller type DEM....nope, they had to pick the most Left Wing Senator they could find.

It will be a good day in November '04 when John Kerry goes back home to Massachusettes where he belongs and GW starts to spend the next 4 years in the Oval Office where he belongs.

Damn it Arvi...when are going to start actually paying attention to the world? Read the F-in book for your own certification.

I suppose we could just say that the Swift Boat vets are unreliable...well, because Alvi says they are. And if Alvi says so, well then it must be fact. Right?

-OR- we could look at the accusations they make, the sheer number of people in Kerry's Swift Boat unit that make them, and the fact they are all willing to lay their reputations on the line by filing legal afidavits in support of their statements....And then couple these things with the fact that if what they were saying really was slanderous....WHY THE HELL ISN'T JOHN KERRY SUEING THEIR ASSES OFF RIGHT NOW?????

Take all of the above into consideration Alvi...and then make a reasoned judgement about just who sounds more credible.

Seems obvious to me that these guys deserve to be heard every bit as loudly and often as John Kerry has made us listen to his 'band of brothers' ....it's only fair.

But perhaps you prefer to squash what they have to say????

The only thing Bush ever did was use his daddy's name and become a corproate front man for many businesses and investors.

This is not a Kerry vs. Bush matter. It's the simple fact that Bush has never been qualified to be President.

Even if Kerry's wins this election, he'll lose in 2008 because this ammoral catastrophe in Iraq will tank his popularity as well.

Well I'm glad you consider yourself intelligent, studied, and experianced enough to make that judgement....

It's irrelevant though because Kerry won't be there to loose in '08 ....he'll be at home in Massachusettes where he belongs.

Yep...gotten some great advice/tips from the people here. I've always appreciated (most of) the posts regarding hair loss and how to deal with it.

I prefer to lurk...but it pisses me off when people start bloviating about things that, to me, are a boat load of lies and misrepresentations...So I feel a need to state my opinion and bring some common sense and clarity to the discussion.

....Besides liberalism has already turned most of western Europe into a place where the work-ethic has become a thing of the past and most everyone feels entitled to suck off the government's tit rather than work for their own.

I don't want that to happen here in America....That's not how we got where we are today and it's certainly not going to make us any greater of nation tomorrow.

So when I start seeing a bunch of liberal spiels on this site...I pipe in and try to point out what I think are the cavernous flaws with that mindset.

To be honest, I'd rather just read about hair stuff...but if you guys are going to bring up politics, I'll more than gladdly offer an opposing view to Socialis...er, I mean Liberalism.

Seems that I didnt understand the conception of Liberalism....

Depends on how you define "great"....

I have the impression that this thread is not about politics but about John Kerry and George Bush.
