I know this conversation has been had a million times. To me there is a very strict correlation between sexual arousal, masterbation and intense scalp inflammation. It's simple -

times where I don't masturbate for a few days - scalp inflammation is drastically reduced.

When I masturbate 1-2 times a day - scalp inflammation is insane and constant.

When I look at p**rn for an extended period of time and masturbate - scalp inflammation is even worst. unbearable.

While looking at p**rn - my testicles start to tingle and I immediately get burning in hairline and itching / crawling in midscalp and crown.

I know y'all will think this is funny or stupid, but I promise it's 100% accurate and to me very interesting. I just recently started to abstain from masturbating, and reduce it to only twice a week. So far, it has made an IMMENSE difference.

Say what you will, but you guys know me and know that I am very very overly skeptical of everything. So, this is the truth.

How is this possible? can it really make such a difference.

Why are you assuming that "itching" equates to "inflammation" ?

itching, burning and "crawling" are all straight indicators of inflammation. Healthy skin does not itch. Especially to that extent. Blood is rushing to and accumulating in your vessels due to injury. Your body responds with itching, burning, etc..In this case the injury is DHT / T destroying your follicles.

I hear you buckthorn. When I have a release my scalp starts itching within minutes no joke. It won' start to subside until 16 hours later. I guess the dht drops at that point. I also get major shedding as well. I have turned down sex just because I don't feel like dealing with inflammtion and ithing. Definite connection 110%!

Its even hard to say that there is correlation between DHT and inflammation or itching,because last times i got very bad itching and inflammation in donor area,where hair should be immune to DHT.

I actually believe what you’re saying here is true. I notice when I’m more horny my scalp tends to itch more. I think the increase in T/DHT that would make a guy horny would obviously increase the likelihood of hair shedding and scalp inflammation if you’re sensitive to it.
A lot of other things spike DHT levels what I’ve read. Like coffee exercise and stress. Might as well not even move lol. J/k. But the fact of being sensitive to DHT is the culprit and a crappy, frustrating genetic trait.

I wrote my thoughts about this on another thread so I will copy some from there and add some new tgoughts as well..

According to abstinence studies after 7 days without ejaculation there's a big spike in Testosterone levels, but it goes back down the next day. After 3 weeks without ejaculation, T levels are slightly higher than baseline on the chart, and didn't reduce as much from Fapping, I don't know about DHT though.
this is why at one point, I was on a schedule to ejaculate every 6 days, Lol.

So, I personally believe that long term abstinence will hurt you in the end. Your body won't stop making T, and sex drive is not the only thing your body uses T for. Ifyour deprive it of orgasm and sexualthoughts long enough, eventually yourbody will probably use your T in otherways.

I know there's limited data on this, but I'm very confident this is the primary reason for the excess premature balding in millennials. Personally, I was a literal p**rn addict from ages 14-20 (I'm talking often 6 hrs per jerk, every day) and since having started nofap, my hair and seb derm has largely stabilized or at least slowed (at a diffuse NW3V, but still).

There is no evidence of this being true. However, maybe there are some people that are extra sensitive to it. Plus itching and burning doesn't mean you are about to lose your hair.

There is, in fact, more to this picture then DHT and Testosterone. Please note, that DHT is not the main causality to hair loss. DHT has a longer shelf life than testosterone in the body but the resulting issues of inflammation, itching and burning on the skin shows a greater issue. I would recommend having further investigations into your overall health. There are limited studies on this topic because of the variables at play. Hair loss is most likely occurring in this instance due to an imbalance in nutrients. In this case, I would strongly suggest resolving the other issues such as nutrition before looking for DHT resolutions.
