I'm Having A Hair Crisis. Please Help

Hi guys.

I'm a 26 yr old who's been on finasteride for over 2 yrs and I'm having a period where I'm really down about my hair. Got my hair permed last week which always makes it look and feel bad for a while.

I've always had ridiculously fine hair with low density. Last time I posted people said I was a Norwood. 1.5. Have a maintained? Should I hop on dutasteride?

First set of pics are me as a kid, so you can see that I've always had a bad hairline. Bare in mind today's pics are under very harsh light with a headband tightly pulling my hair back. Also, ignore the acne lol. I just hopped on 0.1 Tretinoin yesterday.

I would say between set 2 and 3 you have slightly receded but your hair also looks more wet so it might just be somewhat of an illusion.

Yea not long got out the shower so hair is still damp which makes it look worse. What Norwood would you say I am?

Okay looking at them now i’d say you’ve maintained more or less. Also nw2 I think was a bit high .. nw1.5 . You’re good .

You can always up your finasteride dose to 1.25mg

Yeah I would go with 1.25mg finasteride before dutasteride. Removing all of your 5ar from the brain isn’t good at all - finasteride is bad enough. Increase finasteride dose and see how you fair after 6 months.
