oh, the shock loss question. I don't know. I don't have before and after pics. There is a small area behind my left temple where I might have had some shock loss, but it may grow back in. I might have had some shock loss on my right side last time two, but it all grew back. I don't know if it was shock loss because my pics were 2 months after surgery and 6 months after. I don't have any of right before. Dr Keene has those. I'd need to print out my pics, take them to her office, and see if she will let me see my pics again. I'm guessing she will. I am a repeat customer and plan to go two more times.

I saw the pics..if you want to call them that. Poor resolution. It appears the hairline is fillled in but is very thin....for now.

I seem to have hair growing out of the scar in back of my head. I don't understand it. I can't see it that well in two mirrors, but after trying to part my hair to see it clearly, there always seems to be hair in the way, so it seems to be growing out of the scar. And what is weird is it seems to be over 1/2 inch long, even though it is not possible for it to grow that fast since the last time I checked. So maybe I just suck at parting my hair? I have both hands free.

Also, I realized some new types of measurements to take of models faces, and discovered that my face is 10% wider than brad's and justins, so I don't know if that is bad. Also, after discovering that one of my eyebrows is going vellus on top, I realized my hairline already is low, and my eyebrow needs to be saved. So Dr Keene was right that my hair line is low enough, and that I just need to build up my temples more. In fact, after careful measurment, I found that my right one is 6mm further back than my right because I asked her not to cross a scar on my face that I planned to remove. Now that I think the skin tension of removal would pull up one eye lid a bid, after giving the skin by the scar 1/8 inch of tension away from the eye, I decided it is best to cover half the scar with the temple, and leave the other half. Maybe I can change the color and height and the fact that it is 4mm wide will not be an issue.

After re-deciding where to put my hair line and temples, I found that I will only need 800-1000 grafts in two sessions of about 4-500 each. I can easily come up with the two grand.

I hope if I finish a lot of upper math classes soon, I can substitute teach on friday's for $9 an hour instead of working for $7 doing retail, and I can save up faster. I hope I don't need a degree, because once I get a degree, I can't get grants any more.

I think I managed to part my hair better this time. I may have been wrong about the hair growing out of it. Oh well. Next time I'll have her do a longer incision.

Close to $18,000. Maybe a bit more if I added up all my pills and topicals more carefully. And I'll probably spend another $3-4,000 on gafts in the next 1-4 years, depending on how long it takes to save up.

I think I'm getting treated better. More women smiling at me. It took a long time for all the procedures, and there are other factors, so it is hard to say.

I paid for my most expensive procedure by working 72 hours per week in a factory over the summer. Very hard labor. Just by upping my intensity a bit I could loose 6 pounds in a week easily.

As for the rest, I keep my expenses low. Even though I get $2-3000 less financial aid than the office predicts I need, I spend $4000 less than what I get. I use that combined with part time job earnings to pay for procedures each year. It takes a lot of time, but so do grafts take time to grow out before I can get more, so it works out. I might wait until after I graduate to get my next procedures, since I won't be getting more loans, and my hair will look pretty good as is. But I'm still temped to do just a small one to fix a few big flaws, like my temple.

as for me, i am still impatiently waiting for all my grafts to poke through and the finasteride to start kicken in. it's been 40 days for the grafts and 20 for the finasteride. i've still got a long way to go.

As for remembering how tough it was to get here, I certainly will. Women would have nothing to do with me when I had genetic problems, and I'm not going to do favors for those same women.

I just buzzed my hair to 1/4 inch on the sides, and 1/3 in back. My scar was invisible at 0.6 inches, but looked like more than a hat line at 1/3 inch. I put sun block on it.

As for the front, my hair looks great. I really think 50 per cm2 is all I need, and that 60 really is full density for me. There are places on my head that have more than 60, but not in the donor area. I can't wait until the 20 grafts per cm2 below the surface grow out and thicken in. Right now I look like I have a few thin areas, but when these grow out, I will not look bald at all. I want to make some adjustments later for perfection, but I will be a NW1.3 soon without more surgery.

I'm looking at the areas that have 35 grafts per cm2, and they look about full density, but I can see they are a bit thin when I part the hair and look closely. Either way, my natural hair is much thicker than my NW1 friends, though I've seen NW1's who make me jelous. Some day when I'm at 55 or 60 per cm2, it will look perfect. I think 90 would be extremely thick, almost like fur, and too thick to lay down. Pay for 90 if you want, but my target is 50-60.
