How Are People So Ignorant Of Their Own Hair Loss?

is it a coping mechanism or are they genuinely just ignorant?

i have a friend who is thinning and is just about at NW3.
I've said things to him off hand like 'man i'm depressed my hair is receding'
and he has said things like 'don't worry, my dad is bald i'll probably go bald too'

it's absolutely mind blowing how he doesn't notice it.

I've also seen people online post and say 'is my hair receding? ' then attach a pic of their hair and it's extremely thin/obvious balding or NW3+

it's crazy. how do people not notice this?

I am in this situation. I have had a few relatives tell me about a visible bald spot recently, and I was aware of it earlier on. Why havent I done anything? If there was a safe topical that was cheap like minoxidil that could stop male pattern baldness dead in its tracks I think most men including myself would use it.
The issue is in real life right now its never this black and white. There are pros and cons to any treatment we have. Some of the risks are actually quite significant, and any number of years later you can get them. Whether its worth the hassle and risks of a life long drug is not always an easy yes for everyone else.
Lets pretend your friend said I hate hair loss, and I want my hair back. What would you tell him? The reality is you cant fix it anyways so his coping mechanism is probably just accept your fate. Its not a stupid thing to do.

Also sometimes I have thought to myself why bother? Why do I even care about hair loss at all? I mean we are all going to get wrinkles, and get uglier as we age that is just part of life. Hair or not you will run into other cosmetic issues that you cant fix. Is it worth trying to fight aging? You will never win this war father time is undefeated.
What if you just accept male pattern baldness for what it is like getting wrinkles. You say it sucks, but your healthy at least. Then you use it as motivation realizing its mother natures way of telling you that you arent here forever the clock is ticking. Maybe over compensate in other areas to help make up for being not being as attractive anymore like the gym everyone always mentions.
I agree we should have options, but someone accepting male pattern baldness or these other lines of thinking are not wrong ones.

There's nothing wrong with trying to fight it as long as possible. We might all be bald, eventually (though not necessarily as good hair transplants exist), but if you can make it through your 20s or even 30s with hair, why not? By the time you lose it, maybe you won't care as much anymore because you're settled down, married, have a good career, etc.

Im totally with you here, no idea how a person can lie to himself, or simply not caring about something so crucial as hairloss.
For me, i remember the very first day i started losing hair. I panicked so bad, it was a nightmare, and i immediatly checked online and start medicine. Unfortunately the nightmare continue till now ..

True, your right. I am just trying to fight for the other group of guys that might not care enough or just accept it as part of getting older.
Is male pattern baldness part of getting older? Yes I mean really it kind of is.

Yup. Just because you decide to treat your male pattern baldness doesnt magically mean its going to work. The nightmare can continue which sucks for sure
So bottom line is your saying some men are ignorant of their hair loss, but maybe they choose to accept it for numerous reasons. Or they tried treatments and they didnt work which means you have no choice!

Hair loss is not good sign if the number of hair falling is 50-100 per day then it will be okay but if the number of hair fall more then given ratio then take some step to consult with doctor because it is not good symptom try to consult with some specialist who can understand your problem properly.Otherwise after some time this will be very frustrating for you.
