I live in ireland though they don't prescribe it for hair loss here. The side effects and post finisteride syndrome just don't seem worth it I love my hair but I have a good head shape and if minoxidil slows or halts it I'll be happy enough as is.

best of luck then bro. if that's how you really feel I don't see a reason for you to get on finasteride. but note that you can never go back.

Yeah I suppose I should have said in the original post that I want to keep my hair till mid 30s hopefully 40 but after that just couldn't care less

About the hot water thing, it's just bad for your scalp and hair no matter if you're balding or not.
