Some time ago there was a momentarily famous web site where you could upload your picture; a service of artificial intelligence would try to guess your age.

I would be curious to know how off the service would be if a young, apparently balding guy, would use it. Artificial intelligence works on pattern recognition and levels of likelihood.
I think AI would bet a balding guy is older than a full haired person of the same age, becuase we cannot deny baldness advances with age.

At the same time, there is a chance we don’t actually think bald people look _old_ : we just think they MUST be old, based on our understanding of the world.

13 years is a lot though, especially in that age range.

on the good side 15 years later and he almost look the same like he did there

and he could easily score roles such as a pedophile (devils advocat) or womenhater&pervert (8mm) at the beginning of his career

maybe he would never have made it that far without balding just saying

When I had a receding hairline in my late 20s I wasn't enjoying films or random romantic encounters (which still happened) as much, I felt like I was past it. This was even despite good cover up game. I knew I still looked attractive because the same validation was still there like when I was younger and hair loss free, new friends and romance came easily. But I just felt incomplete personally - that nagging feeling that I'm not my best version and I felt inferior as a result seeing myself. A premature end to life really would suck as opposed to graceful ageing - at that point it's better to never have had looks as it's painful. That incompleteness was there even though I had good friends, socialising, career progress and pursing my hobbies. I knew if I didn't do something, it wouldn't just be internal incompleteness that bothered me, rather going advanced balding mode would have changed my life for real and I would be truly invisible. Even something simple as a presentation, the feedback or people you meet just wouldn't be the same, I don't need to test this. This still holds true and will do for around 20 more years. I'll always care for hair after that but at least no one will care if that makes sense, ageing gracefully with good memories matters to me so I don't end up bitter! I'm glad I didn't give up but I was also lucky so can't take all the credit. Now I've been watching happily for years (like before the hairline problem) without feeling insecure. At a younger age or if this had continued long term, I would have been depressed.

Lots of times in movies the mum or dad is only around 15 years or so older than the good looking lead. Sometimes the main guy is 50, full head and attractive. Looks clearly matter.

Typical movie and actually representative of real life.

Have exactly the same thoughts.

Not about others but how it has affected me thinking about myself.

Oh the cover game is always annoying.

Does anyone know about Xiaomi?
Xiaomi is a Chinese smartphone Brand which is currently in no 1 position in India.
It has native age detection software...in selfie camera.
I have seen many people using this feature discretely just to check their age from face.(I don't have this brand.)
When I try to check this on my relative's phone,it shown my age in range of +2 above my actual age,I was okay with it..

I have seen many posts where users have scolded/hated this feature, went online to speak how this feature is bad..reason so easy to understand.

I remember this one.

Sorry, but that site is bullshit and has always been bullshit. When I upload my 17 year old photo it says that I look 33 when I look even younger than 17.
maybe you used a blurry photo? or filter
When I upload my pics I always get in the age range of 14-24 which I am happy about at 26 xD

I have no idea why people stick around online comparing themselves to celebrities and feeling bad for yourselves. I mean, the new Avengers trailer hit and Captain America is almost a NW3, he isn't sitting around online doing this sh*t lol.

this online application says that i look 35 yo.... i am only 25
I m 25 as well. I tried the application with different pictures of me always between 29 and 35. Then I made two picture right now. One with a hat hiding my hairline and one without a hat.

without hat: age 31 the average of all my tested pictures
with hat: age 23 (i do not have wrinkles and stuff)

So yeah according to that application my hairloss makes me appear 8 years older then I would look without hairloss and it makes me look 6 years older than i actually am.

So maybe OP is right xD
