you're like the hairlosstalk buzzkill with all your weird pessimistic posts. We all know that all this junk is still unknown and in the future, but let people hope. I'm as impatient and skeptical as the next guy but seriously.

Agreed, unconfortable man...please stop posting negative comments on here its very annoying. I only read over the forum once a week or maybe 2 weeks, but I allways seem to see your negative posts which makes me frown.

Anyways, Im coming to the fact that being bald wont be that bad after all!

billy.

It will happen some time. There already is a "cure", you just have to be willing to cut your balls off. I think that the problem is stopping the effects of DHT without harming your body at the same time.

Actually thats only a cure if you chop them off before puperty. If you chop your balls off after puberty you will still lose your hair.

looks like Histogen will be presenting some news at ISHRS:
Histogen 7/14/09 3:52 pm
Hello all! We received a request from a poster to provide an update on this forum. We are pleased to share the news that an interview with Histogen CEO Dr. Gail Naughton will be published in the official journal of the ISHRS, and includes some updates that may be of interest. Please look for this online within the next 2 weeks.

Additionally Dr. Craig Ziering, hair restoration specialist and primary investigator on Histogen’s hair regrowth clinical trial, will indeed be presenting findings from the trial at the upcoming ISHRS International Meeting in Amsterdam. Histogen plans to address the presentation in a press release soon.

Please feel free to contact us through our website with any questions: http://www.histogen.com.

It is one of the replies by a histogen rep in the follica page...

*crosses fingers for good news.

From watching these section for few years now, i can tell you to take everything with a grain of salt, dont get your hopes high... i highly doubt we will get something out out of this conference.

So no change for us baldies?
not at the moment, it's not that we don't have the technology it's the fact that everything is branded "unsafe" until it passes about 7 years of red tape

the first rule of engineering is that things ALWAYS happen to be over budget, under effective and overdue soo i'll give it 2020 if they are saying 2015

I always view these projected dates with skepticism. Given that Histogen (and all the other HM companies) have so many obstacles to overcome, I see 2015 as extremely optimistic. It always seems to be 5 years away - ICX set a date of 2010 a couple of years back and they have removed this from their site.

The hairs need to be made to grow thick enough - to a cosmetic standard. The length needs to be correct. They need to stay in and grow in the right direction. The process needs to be safe and affordable for widespread launch in 2015.

That said, the article was encouraging and I believe progress is being made!

Alright man, I am only 20 and see very minor hair loss and rather slow, let's just hope my hair maintain for ten years or at least NW2 then I get some future hair after 10 or 15 years. But the real good thing is that I know that my son wouldn't go bald if I ever have one. :p

yeah i'm 22, hope i can retard my hair loss with finasteride and rogaine for 5 years, then 2 years later maybe an hair transplant, and then we are in 2018 lol, hope that time will have a cure
