Definitely thinning over all, thinner hairs and the fallen are shorter. Still seem like universal density more than male pattern baldness though temples are starting to recede. Over all have been chill about it but would like to do something to help. Right now I’m taking Nutrofol vitamins lol as my only ‘treatment’ might add back a shampoo with Keto. Think thyroid medication, other medications and my switching medications definitely made things worse. I have an Rx for Winlevi cream and have 4 vials. Considering using on temples but weak at 1%.

Right step, unless a doctor says otherwise, sorry I only just saw this post now. With your calibre hair a transplant will be a breeze (if you ever need it when you're old), you may never need it or just 1000 grafts. I didn't have aggressive loss except the corners but it was restored very nicely and naturally which would be the same for you mate. I get complements a fair bit on hair/aesthetics throughout my life but while I realise "nothing is forever" and have other fulfilling interests and a family, it seems complements for you are making you even more obsessed/anxious about changes in life. It's going to happen one day, just be grateful you had it so easy and slow compared to peers. I would think about settling down if I were you before it's too late, pass on those genes lol and have a ball together.

Which clinic did you go to?

Which clinic did you go to?

I've told a few people over PM but generally I don't say for some personal reasons, top Europe clinic though but was same price for me as a good one in Turkey, going back 7 years though. I was lucky, I may have a ton of donor and calibre for further work but glad I haven't needed it, there is no guarantee of anything with transplants and luckily I'm maintaining well and my surgery was a huge success. Crown and midscalp is always implanted at lower cm2 and also blood supply is more iffy there, I'm sure my calibre would cover it well but maybe it would fail or at the very least not look like it is now! Overall go for it if you're a great candidate and need some work, got me through my 20s and now 30s so well, wouldn't have those memories in the same way without the hair, now I don't value it as much as becoming mature and settled in life which is normal. And that is despite still passing as a 20 something easily to younger girls, things like this just matter less now in a good way!

Hello. At 39 I had zero hairloss. Long, thick, wavy black hair that I could barely contain to style.

In August I noticed some shedding and thinning at the vertex and immediately saw a dermatologist. Her first diagnosis was Telogen Effluvium. I wasn't confident in a single diagnosis and saw three additional dermatologists along with a biopsy. All but one said it was a diffuse Telogen Effluvium and that I should be patient it would all return within a year. They were hair specialists in Chicago at the most reputable hospital in the city.

I waited. The loss worsened as I waited for the promise of a return. I saw her again in December and was assured it was going improve. On my return four month visit the Doctor seems to be waver and is now directing me to Rogaine and Propecia.

I have lost so much hair. I started Rogaine May 1 and the shedding is crazy.

I am so angry that I could have saved my hair if I had started treatment in August when it was full and thick. I feel like it was malpractice.

Can anyone help me understand timing and the potential for regrowth under these conditions? I am healthy, marathoner in a strict pales diet.

The loss has been very very diffuse. Only now am I starting to see thinning at the temple.

Can I recover?

Appreciate any real insight. It is so hard to get honest answers.
Check the rubber washers in your shower head!! Over time they degrade more and more giving off this black ink that gets in the water and on you when you shower. I had no idea until my shower head broke!!

coping better but the thinning is still much worse than before. I still can hide it but there’s a clear pattern. Does anyone else get a bunch of in grown hairs all over their scalp? I have like six in occipital area a few on sides and a few on crown. Painful and don’t really go away. My guess is the vellus hairs just can’t break through? Or as the hair thins it gets more whispy/curly and gets ingrown like AA beard? This is a dry pic.

Impact of stopping treatments starting to become very real. Universal thinning with clear patterns, temples and crown. Been using some sadly undersized Winlevi cream on temples. But overall once thick black wavy hair is mostly thin whispy curly pubes.

still cannot understand the waves of huge cysts/ingrown hairs? Is this hyper androcity? Once the fertility situation resolved and she’s pregnant im going to consider topical CB and weekly oral Dutasteride. In retrospect I don’t feel much different than I did when I was using topical Finasteride daily (stopped in October) but hair is definitely declining.

Are you still on meds? If not how much hair you shed daily?

Looks like a parting to me comb it better. All those ingrown hairs is blocked hair folicles from all the heavy metals and impurities from ru prolly.

I thought you were a daddy to be? You need to get your eyes checked. Your hair is improving. You are proving you don't need any treatments. You are going to have to dye those gray hairs so people won't confuse you as grandpa :)
