Hair matters more to women than charisma or intelligence, if you are nw1 with a good looking face you can have very little intelligence or charisma and still the women will flock to you, as for money, you will find a good amount of good looking women who are gold diggers that will date any guy as long as he has $$$ to pay for an extravagant lifestyle.
There's plenty of nerdy looking cucks with a nw1 and plenty of good looking men with a nw2, women would go for the latter. The hairline itself doesn't matter unless it's like a nw3+. Also, 90% women can't tell the difference between a nw1 or nw2. It's only ugly and insecure fat chicks who notice mens hairlines and complain about it.

If you go to the extreme with movie star good looks and you're tall n fairly muscular- sure, but that's an outlier. Just like if someone were excedingly rich, or THE most popular, coolest AND funniest guy around.

But in the lexicon of normal attributes, hair only accounts for a fraction. Granted, if you have a big forehead head, and you have diffuse thinning on top of it with a mature hairline, it's going to look bad. Somehow taking care of that and now being able to style that hair will take away a bad look while giving you a good one. It will account for quite a bit of new opportunities with girls. Just like being broke and then getting a lot of money, or having no social circle besides the losers on here and then having a group of 40 friends, etc.

Everyone needs to stop thinking hair is the ticket you're missing, and thats the sole reason why girls would laugh at the prospect of dating you.

And another thing, for those of you bragging (and you know who you are) about getting laid here n there; don't say it's with "hot women"; you damn well know it's not. 5's best. Maybe ONE 6 if she was drunk and and just broke up with her boyfriend her something. As someone with experience, I l know bullshit when I read it.

But this also raises questions about when we 'start' going bald. As hair loss obsessives, we can look at someone and detect baldness at an early point, but for the average person, they're not likely to classify someone as balding until they reach Norwood 3 or 4.

Here's Prince William at 19 with what the vast majority of people would deem to be a full head of hair. I said in another thread that I thought he started going bald at 20. What is interesting though is that he has a lot of thinning, wispy hair mixed in with thick hair. Is this the hair that is getting ready to dessert him?

If the picture on the left is actually from 2001, that would make him 18 or 19.

I had the same thing when I was 19. I'd have a shower and once my hair had dried it looked a bit fluffy, even though the scalp wasn't showing through at this point.
So true, a trained eye could have already predicted from the first pic that he was going to bald soon.

Yes, they are outliers but they do exist. I think everyone knows of at least one tall, handsome guy with male model- tier, thick hair. They exist and they are out there fu**ing actual hot girls while the rest of us is rotting on a hair loss forum. People should stop pretending handsome dudes are some sort of mythical creatures. No amount of charisma or intelligence is going to compete with them if you are a balding young guy.

That's true but just look at someone like Neil Strauss who spent years working on his game and had no problem with women even before he became famous. Women are hard wired to be attracted to evolutionary 'fit' mates with good genes, like being tall/strong, healthy, respected in the tribe, able to provide resources, etc. Hair is just one marker of genetic fitness, there are plenty of bald guys out there doing just fine.

Neil Strauss is a fraud, I highly doubt he got much of any action before he turned famous.

I am a 30-year-old virgin, too. I've always had it in my mind that I need to get a hair transplant first before I make any attempt to get a girlfriend.

You know that's backwards bro :). You don't derive that much confidence from superficial improvements. Though obviously if I'm on here I care about similar things, so I relate. Maybe you don't want to get a gf per se at the moment, before you treat your hair to your liking, but you should already begin opening yourself up, getting used to approaching and talking to women, and even men. You don't have to do a PUA system or anything like that. Just develop social feedback and learn who you are. Most of social anxiety lies in the unknown.

Here I am with a nw1 and I'll never get a gf because of my height (5ft 7 at age 18 I probably won't grow anymore). If balding isn't the issue, something else will be.

Just find a girl below 5'4. If you're face is ok it wont be a problem. If you arnt goodlooking you would struggle regardless of your height.

5'7 isn't that short dude, still taller than most women. I know plenty of guys around that height who do well.

Obviously, but theres plenty who wouldnt mind a shorter guy too, if you're 5'7 with a girl who's 5'1 you're gonna seem tall to her.Anyway, it mainly comes down to face.
My mum tells me I have a nice face. :)

The thing is most girls I know irl go for pretty boys with feminine faces. Back when I was 14-15 I used to get a lot of attention but I've put on some weight (Not fat but I'd look better if I lost a bit) and my face looks slightly more masculine But I used to get more attention when my face was round and feminine with hardly any masculine features at all. Maybe I just need to socialise more and lose some weight and start styling my hair because in the last 2 years, it looks like I put zero effort in. I haven't left my house for 3 weeks.

You know your flaws and what the problems are. Good. That's the first step. You are already on a good way if you understand yourself and the situation you are in. Now leave your house lmao.

Women aren't gifted with the ability to norwood spot. I doubt they can tell the difference between a nw1 or a nw2. They couldn't care less if it was a norwood 1 or 2, it just needs to be thick.

Word. Balding only officially begins after Norwood 2 hairline or if you're a diffuse thinner, in which case the Norwood scale doesn't apply. Someone diffusing in a Norwood 5 pattern, is exactly a diffuse Norwood 5 regardless of their hairline and it's usually very noticeable.

I find it amusing when people say they thought life was over as a thick Norwood 2 which isn't even hair loss medically speaking let alone to be seen as something bad by girls.

Yeah, a guy on this website has a thick nw1.5 at 26 years old with great family history and said he's bald and his life is over.

Lmao, so now people are worried about NW2 ?? I mean, it's not even registered as officialy balding, but if it bothers you too much, just grow it out and acquire some neat hairstyle. At least you still have decent hair ffs.
