The genes thing is weird my dad passed at 66 full head of hair no loss at all smoked drank shitty life style.. but here’s the kicker the xchrom is on the moms side.. my moms dad aka my grandfather was bald as f*** at death and started losing hair at about 30 BUT his moms dad died at 80 with a Ronald Regan hair line so in theory my gpa should of got his genes and passed them to me.. so weird.. my gpas moms dad no joke had a full on teenage hairline that should of been passed to my gpa then to me

Nah it's getting fucked. Maybe in a mont when my hair get so bad again I will post one. I am now losing it due to the dosage reduction of duta I did a month ago
It is not oral but if the gel does not contain something too toxic I would try out of desperation lol
Kinda dumb question but I’ve really never seen it talked about.. question is if finasteride is working for someone does that mean they shed literally no hair at all I’m not talking about the shedding phase I’m talking after that if finasteride is working do they shed nothing???

Obvious everyone sheds, but the difference is that hair keep its thickness despite the shedding..With Androgenetic Alopecia that doesnt happen

What’s your take on topical spironolactone?? I have some but haven’t used it.. a waste a time??

Back when I was still going to my trichologist , he told me he should hire me to help him. Back in the days I didnt know as much tho.
As far as I can remember spironolactone is a prodrug that is mainly effective by being converted into their biological metabolites in the liver. I wouldnt waste time on topical spironolactone
So who’s better when it comes to hair a derm or trichologist??

Your hair at least is keeping hold for your age. Supposedly, you can improved it with Dutasteride and maybe a hair transplant with a GOOD doctor.
When it’s come to hair loss, ALWAYS trichologist, like 95% of the time.
The genetic test is called Fagron-Trichotest, and they have improved it since its release, adding more cohesive explanation for the results, plus they test some vitamins now too.
If you have Backdoor Pathway issues, Finasteride is not doing anything for that part. Simple.

Thanks for the response.. this test is this something I ask the Doctor/derm/trich for or something I order myself and have sent to the house?? Also in this test does it test for the back door pathway?? What all does this test, test for??

You need to find a dermatologist/trichologist that he/she can perform it for you.

Hell yeah man thanks a lot my appointment is tomorrow.. I had regular blood don’t all the panel stuff test free test dht estrogen shgb all that and my dht was low I need to find the paper it was just 2 months ago it showed my dht is low so idk really what that means still 4 months on finasteride and still shedding
