I increased my estradiol from 2mg to 4mg around 2 weeks ago and I'm seeing a 2x increase in shedding + my hair feels like its thinning. Has anyone had this happen before?

Give it time, your levels need to stabilize. Hair of ppl with androgenic alopecia is usually pretty sensitive to any hormone fluctuations.
If hair on the back of your head feels thinner too, that might be due to your hair transitioning into female type (women have thinner hair than men).
If after 2 months your hair will still be getting worse, you might need to include AA or increase e2 dose.
When I first tried using cypro after going off for a year I got a similar shed as the one I'm getting after upping e2 from 2mg to 4mg. My test was 740 with 2.5mg dutasteride and 2mg e everyday. Would that be causing the loss? I'm shedding a mixture of short and long hairs, which has never really happened before and the loss is in a diffuse and receding pattern. My hairline was very slowly receding before, where as now it feels like its accelerated.

redwhite4534, this post is irrelevant, because your T and Duta dose are too high for this regime.
Firstly you'll have to decide if you wanna nuke your T or not, we can go from there.
I have estrogen cypionate but haven’t pulled the trigger. I’m so scared it won’t work and will just give me boobs. I know getting boobs is gonna happen but not having hair loss is more important . I’m not sure what I should do. I hopped on dutasteride and finasteride without even having hair loss . What would be good for me

Anyone know or have any studies showing bicalutamide’s ability to reduce sebum production?

I would of not do it just for hair, thats a fact! Even while suffering from some kind of gender dysphoria, i still hesistated for many years.
don't post crap like this here we're trying to normalize this sh*t. having natural testosterone production is bullshit and it should be socially accepted to halt that without transitioning.

Well, there are plenty of ppl with CAIS (Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome) and 0 babies from them yet. Until one of them reproduce, i call it wishful thinking!

Every person should be given oral androgen receptor degrader before they hit puberty tbh. It would be like an induced CAIS

Thank you for your response, this was really helpful. I should've mentioned, I first pulled the trigger on increasing e because I had switched brands of dutasteride, which caused an initial shed. I was using 2.5mg of dutasteride from alldaychemist, and switched to a different brand from a legit pharmacy in the US because of costs and I was suspicious my dutasteride may have been unstable because it was sourced overseas. After 2 weeks on the new dutasteride brand, I returned back to the all day chemist brand + increased my hrt stack.

I'm not opposed to lowering my T, but I was shedding from trying out cypro after not using it for a year. And to clarify, my test was 740 on 2mg e + 2.5mg dutasteride, since going on 4mg I can feel my sex drive going down, so I'm assuming its also dropping my T (which was my plan). I don't like cypro's long term side effects, and thought raising e would be a better way of lowering my test.

I had tried coming off e around this time last year, but noticed my hair starting to thin in the front, so I immediately went back on 2mg. Within a couple of weeks my hair returned to normal. Because of this, I thought increasing my e dose would help improve my situation. Let me know if this is wrong.

Also, I had always thought 2.5mg dutasteride would be the best dose to maintain hair, I didn't know high doses would influence conversion of progesterone to allopregnanolone or lower progesterone metabolism. I'm curious what you would recommend for my hair loss stack?

Why do I still have a solid libido with testerone at 31 and estrogen at 384 on day 6 EV injections?
I have had a stable libido with injections for 3.5 years now. I can have sex 3 times a day and have no problems with erection. Meanwhile, real men are afraid to take finasteride for fear of getting erectile dysfunction.
