Diane 35 contains cyproterone acetate, a very strong antiandrogen with many side effects.
Ethinyl estradiol is the strongest artificial estrogen and at the same time a bad estrogen in terms of side effects (breast growth, thrombosis, etc...). Metabolized mainly in the liver with the formation of hydroxylated and methylated metabolites damaging DNA.
Not to mention that EE mainly stimulates ERa receptors, stimulation of ER-alpha promotes catagenization of hair follicles.

And actually if you read my post, I was writing about E4, not the nextstellis combination drug with progestin in it.

And if you compare nextstellis and diane 35, nextstellis has a much better safety profile.
