I will do some reading on them, are they both needed if one wants to maintain what they have?
Topical Dutasteride is great for maintenance and it's good for the fact that it has minimal sides since the molecules are too big to go systematic
Oral Minoxidil is the biggest regrowth stimulant the world
I suffer from anxiety and there are just far too many potential undetectable side effects, impacts, and long-term implications that don't sit well with me. I'm fortunate enough at least have a reasonable head of hair at the moment, and can use other options for the time being. I feel like the majority who take it that don't notice obvious side effects, just assume that means it's totally safe for them, which is a lofty assumption.
But I can understand people who don't have a choice and it's either that or go bald. If I was in that case, I'd probably suck it up and view it as a lesser of all evils. But

I've never thought medicines with pamphlets full of known side effects are safe, so it's always been my assumption that most other like-minded people felt the same.
Use topical min instead. Or reduce the dosage of finasteride or try topical finasteride.
Just don’t do oral min, it’s not worth it
Afraid to use topical minoxidil because I don't want to poison my cats

I use finasteride. My dick works btw. I won't discuss that... Again.
If some of you guys are ok with being bald or if you reached a point in life where your hair doesn't matter, congratulations. But, if you are not in that group, the side effects of stress caused by online discussions and envy of ppl with hair is worse than anything finasteride may cause hahaha
Stress will destroy you in the long term. Hair, skin, cardio. The psychological effects are just as bad. So basically I have a very low chance of side effects caused by finasteride and a high chance of stress and psychological effects caused by baldness. We also don't know if many of the sexual side effects that ppl complain about were actually caused by finasteride. "I used finasteride for 20 years and now my dick does not stay up. Curse finasteride."
It was an easy choice for me.
