EVERYONE Will Get Finasteride Side-Effects Eventually

Lol at this emotional response, do you feel personally attacked or something because you take fina? And I clearly said "some fina users".

I don't agree with your statement only a small number respond poorly to the drug but something all sides can agree on I assume, is the fact we do need more quality studies.
The claim I made is that a very small number of people fall into the category of having PFS. I wasn't talking about non-persistent side effects.

I clearly said "some fina users".
Yes I can read, but its a pointless vague generalized statement, intended as a put down, and trying to suggest you are somewhat above and more informed than another group of people.

Yes, somehow I never used to trust Dr. Vikram even before this came out and told to my friend who introduced this channel to me. I have studied human psychology and something in his eyes, and the way he interrupted/continued the conversation with Dr. Russel always made me skeptical about him.
Dr Vikram clearly looks as though he is winging it, which essentially he is, as I take it most of his knowledge on the subject has been gained since he has been working under Dr Russel. Dr Russel on the other hand has been in the industry for years though and seams to be well respected.

That statement doesn't make sense either, it makes more sense when its spun around like this 'Do you feel the need to constantly describe finasteride users as ''coping'' to cope with the fact you can't take it?''.

Just reeks of hypocrisy, there's no need to keep slating other users because of their choice, just because you choose to take a different path.

based on watching one of his videos, he comes across as a guy who went to medical school because his parents wanted him to, found it more difficult than expected, moved to a country where he could get a job with less experience, then moved into cosmetic hair transplants because it paid well and seamed easier than other options, he now talks over his more experienced teacher to hide the fact, that a few short years ago he knew nothing about the subject he is now talking about.

Thanks for confirming you really feel personally attacked. Otherwise why would you be this butthurt?
Pointless comment again with no logic attached. You are trying to discredit somebody for having an opinion on one of your comments by trying to insult them.

My question still stands, 'Why do you feel the need to constantly refer to finasteride users as ''coping'' or as ''desperate balding guys taking fina'' when it clearly couldn't be further from the actual reality?

Have you had your hormone levels checked periodically?

A few more questions to add on to what Norwoody asked:

1. Are you on other medications that list erectile dysfunction as a side effect?
2. Do you live a sedentary lifestyle?
3. Do you get at least 7 hours of sleep per night?
4. What is your age?
5. Are you overweight?

People seam to be misunderstanding the mechanisms in how many man made pharmaceuticals work, they are in effect a brute force option, working by disrupting or suppressing actions in the body, Nobody is suggesting that big pharma medicine is the healthy option. They are harsh on the body, You never hear people say Accutane, or even antibiotics are some kind of holistic healthy option. At the end of the day if you are from 'my body is a temple' school of thought you are better off avoiding anything that big pharma makes, unless you are literally on deaths door, because nothing they make has been designed to be 'Good for you', that is not the M.O. of the industry.

You should probably seek an endocrinologist and get your testosterone (T) levels checked alongside estradiol (E2).

They should be checking:

- Total and free T
- E2
- LH
- FSH
- TSH
- free T4
- Prolactin

If you're sedentary and you're not eating enough, that can quite easily lead to erectile dysfunction, even at 25 years old. Lifting weights and getting in shape should help a lot.

We agree here but and this is a big BUT. Finasteride for hairloss is a life long commitment, this isn't a drug you only take for a few weeks or months but years and even decades, essentialy disrupting your endocrine system for the rest of your life/as long as hair matters to you.
Why are you trying to lecture me on this? If you can read my profile says I am 46 and you know I have been taking it for 21.5 years, don't you think I know these things?
Because they are desperate, balding guys willing to go on hormone treatment for years to maybe save their hair. Or wait you don't think it's desperate going on a life long hormone treatment to save hair?.

No because like millions of others we have been there and done it and it worked to get us through our 20's, 30's and 40's with minimum further loss , what I think is desperate is too rub a couple of zinc tablets into your scalp thinking that in 21.5 years time you will be able to maintain your hair
Because they are desperate, balding guys willing to go on hormone treatment for years to maybe save their hair.
Why do you speak about them in the 3rd person by saying 'they' you mean you, you were that desperate guy willing to take finasteride.
Look at you, you only made a new account here because you were so triggered by the harsh reality that finasteride is hormonal poison and trying to minimalize the risks involved. All because you're so very invested in your hormone pills you take every day, it seems you're tyring to convince yourself more than anyone else it's "safe" or not as bad.
This is Hilarious and complete nonsense what evidence have you got I made a new account on here to trying to minimalize the risks involved?
Why would somebody take finasteride for 21.5 years if they were worried about the risks?
I have sporadically been browsing hair loss forums for over 20 years. probably before you even knew what the internet was.
All because you're so very invested in your hormone pills you take every day, it seems you're tyring to convince yourself more than anyone else it's "safe" or not as bad.
You say line this to almost everybody who comments on your posting, im not invested in anything ive already essentially won my hair loss journey I will be 50 soon, it makes no difference to me at my stage of life even if I drop the drug and settle for a more age appropriate hairline, do you think my wife or kids are going to suddenly care if I have a slightly more receded hairline in my 50's?

And I'm not judging you or anyone who is taking fina, balding is a serious problem imo especially for young men. But I try to go for safer options, even if they're less convenient or weaker
Ok thank you for not judging me!....that doesn't come across as patronising at all, do you honestly think I care, if a guy rubbing zinc tablets into his scalp to beat hairloss is judging me for being on finasteride for 21.5 years, give me strength you crack me up.

The thing I find odd about your position, is when i asked you a few months ago why are you so interested in all this , you said that you were just interested in the mechanisms of how things work .

ok I can get that, but by the time you first took finasteride it had already been available for several years, and there had been countless studies showing undesirable effects and there were clear warnings on the leaflet in the packet.

in spite of all this, you still decided to ignore all the warnings and take it anyway, in effect dismissing all the studies you had no doubt read.

Since then you have stopped taking the drug and have taken it upon yourself to start a one man crusade repeatedly trying to highlight all the dangers of this drug even though you ignored them all yourself,

which is fine, I can get that as well,

but that's not enough, you cant just post the studies and leave it like that, you have to classify anyone who still uses the drug as a 'coper' or ' desperate balding fina user' and take the moral high ground that you are some what superior and more informed than the average because you would never do any as stupid or desperate as to a take big pharm drug for hairloss.

Can you not see how contradictory and hypocritic that comes across as?
