Documenting My Treatment For The Next Year.

Hi guys, hope all's well.

I want to make a quick update. Finished week 5 of my treatment, here's the pictures.

I'd say I'm still the same as when I started. Still very early into the treatment to say anything, though.

The only positive thing I have to report is I'm shedding very little hair.

Thats my last shower, so I'm not losing much hair.

Still no sides to report, I feel totally normal.

I'm on the same regime as you. I'm 33 and maybe a bit more receeded, but not much. I started finasteride 5 weeks ago as well...no sides for me either...keep it up bro

Hey guys, hope you are having a good week.

Yesterday marked first month and a half of my treatment (finasteride 1 mg a day, minoxidil 2x day , keto shampoo), and Im now starting my seventh week. Should have updated yesterday but my PSU got fucked. Pictures are still from yesterday so no harm done.

Not much to tell, really. I think its still the same as previous weeks.

If someone sees any changes do tell me, I dont. Still Im only a month and a half into it.

This was my shower shed today, I think it keeps getting smaller. In fact, my whole head feels better, no itches or anything. It's like the scalp got "healthier", if that makes sense.

Sides: None at all. I feel completely normal.

I guess thats it for this week.

Hey guys, I have a new update.

Im starting my 8th week today, so almost two months. Pretty good. I havent seen much change, I thought I had some regrowth and made a post about it but someone said its too early to tell, and they are probably right.

Here they go:

This week's shedding:

Still low, so pretty good.

Sides: Still none. My hair does feel somewhat thicker and healthier, so thats good. Im in very good spirits about this.

Lets hope it pays off.

Hello, new update today.

I've completed two months of treatment, this is the start of my 9th week. I'd say Im still pretty much the same. Good thing I'm not in a hurry, haha.

Still very little, as you see.

Sides: None. Since people reported sides very early into the treatment, I think I'm out of the woods (touch wood). So I'm thinking I'm going to start updating less frequently, maybe every 2 weeks, or every month starting from now, as theres not a lot of changing in the past two months I've been doing my treatment. So I think Ill update next time on the 22nd or 23rd (the start of the 11th week) if nobody objects, if you guys prefer the weekly pics, I'll do that. But looking at the movement inside this thread I dont think anyone cares too much, hahah.

Hi guys, hope you are doing well.

Im starting the 13th week of my treatment, that means Im starting month 4.
Since the last update two weeks ago I dialed the keto shampoo down a bit cause I was getting hurtful zits on my head (or something like that, idk), so I figured it could be because of the keto shampoo. I cutted back from 4 times a week to 2 times a week, but doing that I got some itchiness and a bit of shedding so I upped it back to 3. Now the itchiness is gone and the shedding is too apparently, lets hope I found the sweet spot now.

So, I don't think theres any changes really. Maybe a bit worse on my right temple? (Its on the right in the pictures, the pictures are mirrored)
If Im worse, it's a tiny bit, but Im not really sure. Still, everyone says to wait at least a year. I've seen people get some results by the third month, apparently I wont be one of those people. Too bad, but I still have a long way to go. Im still very positive about this and not in a hurry.

Shedding for this week:

It's very little. I'm thinking some of it went through the drain or keto shampoo does wonders. Not sure.

Sides: Nothing finasteride related. Like I said, I got some zits on my head and then some itchiness, but it subsided quickly. Lets hope it stays like that.

Anyway, see you in two weeks for my 3 months and a half update!

Im starting week 15 of my treatment, which means I've completed around 3 months and a half today. In other news, I had a haircut. And thats about it.

Today's shed:

I've been having a bit more shed, as you can see, compared to last pictures. It's nothing catastrophic, but It's good to have a reference. Lets hope it improves or at least stays that way.

Sides: nothing.

I've been looking at your pictures a while now, I can't really tell how much you would lose your hair if you didn't start with meds, but I'm positive nothing has changed to worse, I really can't tell but it seems like your hair is getting thicker and your temples look even better then they did. But hey, even if that's not true, it hasn't changed to worse. So that's great! Looking at hair sometimes can be really exhausting, it's hard to notice changes in such a short period of time. But I'm sure you will be fine for a long time with treatments like you're currently using.

Seems Im heading towards the "maintainance" group rather than regrowth. I'm still very early into the treatment, its only 4 months and I've read that the real way to evaluate is to wait for a year.

In any case my intention here is just to show what happened, to me at least, over the course of a year taking propecia. Everyone talks about sides, and, even if I havent had much of a change yet, I havent had a single issue with it. And it did cut down my shedding by a lot, so there's that.
If the year is over and I'm still the same, I can always add some dermarolling or something to try.
Luckily for me, my hairloss has been veeeery slow, and I still think my hair looks decent when styled, so Im not going crazy over it.

Anyway, thanks again for watching the thread, I'd like to get other people's opinions too.

Week 21, so 5th months into it. Here are the pics:

Comparing it with the pics on top of this page, i'd say it looks a bit better, but to be hone I havent done a side to side comparison. Im waiting for the 6 months update for that.


Shed:

Very little.

Sides: None. (I thought my semen was a bit watery last week, but havent really payed attention, Ill keep that in mind for the next update).
