I'll start. Since I can't afford a car, maybe I should ride around on my bike with a petition to ban the. They kill 50,000 people a year in fatal crashes. And some murderers use them to run people down. I almost got ran down just the other day.

People should use busses and bikes. And have guns to protect themselves.

Yes and more people die in hospitals than anywhere else so maybe we should close them all down.
More people are killed by dogs than rattlesnakes maybe we should ban dogs and let everyone keep a few rattlers as pets.

That's a sensationalist statement. You have to consider all the factors. You have to look at fatality rate per mile traveled, fatality per accident, fatality per car, etc. My point is that if the Americans travel zillions of miles each year, 50k fatalities are kinda inevitable. Every morning the moment we set a foot outside we become living statistics, we take certain chances.

You can't compare guns and cars.... If you compare the number of bullets fired and miles traveled, I bet that a single bullet is deadlier than a mile traveled (statistically speaking).

In the context of cars, calling for a ban on alcohol might be a more valid point. I might be wrong, but I think 40% of car accident fatalities are caused by drunk drivers???

I actually don't understand why alcohol gets away with murder. The medical institutions go to great lengths to relate all sorts of deaths to smoking, but they don't do the same with alcohol :dunno:.
