No its ridiculously cheap, actually. Buy it from ThailandPharmacy on their website it is known as Loxidil Forte. 100 pills lasts 100 days. Expect no results for a few months

It sounds like you got a shed from finasteride, freaked out and stopped using it. The hair will come back over a few months.

However, you should be on finasteride, and stay on at least 6 months, when the shedding should stop and regrowth begins. It getting worst before better is normal. You can PM me if you need anything.

Dont take oral minoxidil

I shan't.

1. Very unclear how long he's been on finasteride. Sounds like it was kind of haphazard (5mg some days?) over a summer/few months. Also using it topically (how? dont do that). He needs to take it 1/day for 6 months to know if he's a responder It may get worse in the meantime but that's how you know it's working. We need a clear schedule of how long OP has been on finasteride consistently.

2. Drop the oils and don't bother with minoxidil yet.

3. Oral minoxidil is not an approved drug for this and while it may work, it has very serious potential side effects (that are much more prevalent than the finasteride side effects. Do not start taking that it's basically experimental.

I simply don't believe the finasteride was given the proper time and chance. Please prove me wrong.

I dont think the dose changing had much of an effect considering finasteride has a flat dose response and 1mg is basically the same as taking 5mg. The oils are useless, that i agree on. Oral minoxidil is not approved but neither is dutasteride and people still advocate its use. The serious heart side effects were only noted in doses of 40mg+.. the dosage for hair loss is 5mg - 10mg which is what i take and have not experienced any heart problems. Also, some people simply dont respond well to finasteride and dutasteride, im one of them ( the sh*t ruined my hairline ) and its very possible @phamboy24 is too. I recommend the oral minoxidil due to the significance of the results that can be achieved and the relatively low chance of side effects ( if appropriate dosage is used ). Everyone knows the finasteride 1% chance of sides is bullshit so dont bring that up.

Your only option is finasteride.

Don't worry too much you're young and by your early 20s hopefully hair loss will be cured.

Will never be a 'cure' IMO. Only more treatments, we should hopefully have another by 2020

Are you referring to tsuji? If so thats a far cry from a cure, it an injection based treatment which has to be redone every so many months. Cessation from treatment will make you lose all your gains and the price is likely to be astronomical. Its pretty much PRP on steroids with a higher success rate. Will probably cost as much if not more than a hair transplant.
In this battle we can only hope to maintain with what we got right now. I dont think there will be an affordable, effective treatment for decades to come.

U seem very sad, Andy
U okay?
What about the lotion in 2018 that could regrow hair?
How is your hair?

Im sorry, i realise i was being very negative towards tsuji's treatment.. it will likely be a huge success but out of the price range for most people. I dont see much difference between rogaine and Brotzu ( the 2018 lotion ) so im not holding out much hope for it.. im sure it even uses minoxidil in its formula too.
My hair is doing fine now thanks for asking. Im fairly certain my receding hairline has stopped and ive got some regrowth too, but its growing so slowly its a pain. Its definitely improved since i first noticed, i guess i just want them to thicken up! lol. How is your hair? What treatments are you on right now?

Natural treatment - I want to start saw palmetto but I am too scared. I just jumped off Finasteride after 1 year because it caused me inflammation and sebum on the scalp. Almost depression too.
I am trying to change my lifestyle without sugar and too much gluten. I am eaten healthy and work out too. (Just shaved my head, there is picture^^)
I am thinking about eating one garlic every day to keep my health up.

Besides that diabetes runs in my fathers family. (My grandfather did not go bald nor did his brother). But my father and two uncles did. My other uncles did not go bald. The thing is that my uncles have been diagnosed with diabetes like my grandmother, I was thinking if that could cause male pattern baldness?
besides my dad started smoking and hard drinking in his teens.
Am I doomed to male pattern baldness or just high temples (mature hairline)
