Am I going bald? Pt. 2 (yes, another one)

You're probably wondering why I've made this thread once again (as well as annoyed.)

People in the other thread assured me that I didn't have a problem. That I should enjoy my hair-full life. Admittedly, the responses made me feel better, but I'm honestly not convinced. I took some pictures just for the hell of it, and I need a second opinion. My friends and family assure me I'm not losing my hair, but I know they wouldn't give me a straight answer. Here we go:

I dont think you can get a real answer on this, there is no solid evidence that you are going bald. It does'nt look bad ata all but who knows what it'll be like in a few yrs time.

id say its the start of a receeding hairline - mine was about there when i started meds. i wish it still was!

no one who wasnt looking for it would be able to tell yet mate.

... i had a bit more than that actually. the first pic still looks fine it always looks awful when you pull it back like that.

Is there any discernable difference between a receeding hairline and a maturing hairline?

My dad's hair (who happens to be pushing 60) has had the same slightly receded hairline for as long as I can remember, which leads me to believe his hairline is just mature. I envy him. I looked at some pictures of him when he was my age (19) and he had a similar looking hairline.

you have to be mature to have a mature hairline though do you know what i mean?

its impossible to say if itll stay the same or not but...mine didnt. if were you id get on meds but other people may say you dont need to yet. i personally think the sooner the better. if youre losing hair then youre losing hair.

No, I don't know what you mean. Doesn't your hairline mature after the age of 18 or 19?

And I really hate the idea of going on medication...There must be a more natural way!

Looks fine to me. Measure it or something and come back in a year to see if it has changed much.

Yeah you can get a mature hairline at 16 and never lose much more for the rest of your life.
Unfortunately there is definatley no natural treatment that works.

Those little baby hairs that you have at the front seem suspect. I have those hairs too. Does anyone think those hairs seem normal to have? I am just wondering because I have alot them in the front and I always wondering if those hairs are just miniaturizing.

Thing about the baby hairs is that they were worse about a month ago. They seem to be catching up to the rest of my hair, so I don't know.

You mean the baby hairs are getting thicker and getting better? Those baby hairs for me have a mind of their own and tend to stick out and are hard to control when dry. I think it might be common for people with fine hair to have those baby hairs. Your hair seems fine in texture like mine.

I think they are normal. I have them when I grow out my hair as well. I think they are just on a different cycle to the other hairs and take time to catch up in length, by the time they have, some other hairs have naturally fallen out and are now baby hairs. That’s my theory.

Looks like very, very early stages of temple recession to me. You're far from needing to start any treatments, but keep an eye on it and maybe in a few years think about starting on propecia if it gets worse.

Your hairline is definately receding. Why other people can't easily spot this I dont know. I would suggest getting on finasteride asap. My hairline looked like that a few months ago, but has gotten worse. If want to keep what hair you have I suggest getting a regimen.

Use Nizoral shampoo and reassess the situation in 2010.
