I am assuming you think there are side effects? Here is a very long term study of finesteride vs placebo with higher dose for bph....Table 2 says it all lol, no difference vs placebo...

Well finesteride and minoxidil worked really well for me. Stopped further hairless, thickened hair and even decent growth at temples. Only side effect was hair went darker which actually looks worse for me. Oh well will have to dye my full head of hair ;). May get transplant to fully fix up the...
Because for new drug to go to market it has to be superior to current drug. Topical will be worse as most men a happy with taking pill form and don't have any side effects.
are you sure it is that easy to make topical? It has to reach all the way to hair follicle and stay there, I remember Christiano talking about it.
Might be better off with injection
These results are better than you guys are giving them credit for, it is close to matching 5% Minoxidil : https://dravram.typepad.com/files/minoxidil-104-week-trial-frontal-and-vertex.pdf
In this paper after two years (not 26 weeks!) the much more potent minoxidil only grew 7-10 hairs per cm^2...
guys as one of the docs explains during webcast you cant really trust hair count per cm^2 as depending if you measure from center of bald spot vs edge will make a big difference. It is better to use visual and doctor/patient opinion, these are the most honest photos I have seen, no bs lighting...
If it is testing for follicle neogenesis (new follicles) then theoretically 12 weeks would be enough. I doubt 12 weeks is enough to prove hair growth though but who knows.
They say that it increased non-velus count but give no number, e.g. 5% increase, 10% increase. Also, no photos even after completing trials so I would be skeptical about the whole thing. Also very vague about how it works, mention of WNT, but there are many different types of WNTs etc.
