One Year Post Operation Dr Jennifer Martinick

Do you have any pics you can post to show what happended to you? I don't know tons about Dr. Martinick but had seem to remember her doing decent work. Not lessening what happened, it's just better to be able to "show" and then tell.

post op dr armani pics love to hear what u think

Just came across your thread. The work looks great and I'm sure it will grow in nicely for you. IMO 26 is still pretty young to dense pack that little of an area with that low of a hairline. Not as risky as doing it at 22 but many at 26 with your loss go on to lose much more hair...

    Cutting up proscar

Buy generic Proscar.................it's round. Much easier to cut into 4ths.

I need some insight to my issue

bleach53- I have yet to see a standard "pattern" of loss for male pattern baldness. Mine was actually similar to yours in that the crown went first which seems to be the case from your pics..............though you have diffused thinning in front as well. Your sides are also a little thin...........have they...

    Hair thinning w/pics

I agree with Fallout Boy- Get on the meds (minoxidil and Finasteride) and see how you do. You still have a good amount of hair left so maybe you will keep what you have and possibly regrow some. Yes..........you're pretty much committed to the meds for life if you want to keep the hair...

    Crown thinning Pic

Yes.........."if" you are thinning, great thing you've caught it while you still have lots of hair. In my experience, finasteride is better at helping guys hold on to what they have, any regrowth seems to be minor and in most cases not really significant. Also...........yes, I believe it is possible...

    hair loss question

There's no way to tell whether or not you will loose your hair............period. Mothers Father, Father's Father.........makes no difference. Unless you could actually label your genetic makeup and identify the "balding" gene, and whether or not you inherited it, you can't predict hair loss.

    Crown thinning Pic

You "may" be starting to have loss in the crown..........there's no way to tell at this point because I don't have anything to compare to. Do you have any pics you've taken within the last 2-3 years you can compare to?? Some guys crown hair looks like that at 10yrs old, some guys have crown...

    Advice/Suggestions/Kind Words

You really haven't given finasteride a try. I'd stick with it for a year at least before making a switch. minoxidil has been shown to help as well.............the regimen was too messy for me so I don't use it. With either one, you need to realize you're making a long-term commitment as anything you gain...

can you use concealors with buzzed hair?

Yes, I think people could tell, but I've not tried it. When my hair's longer (2" or so) I have enough density for a concealer to help unnoticed. If I shaved down or clipped very close, I think it'd look like I painted my scalp. Someone on another site posted that it worked for them but IMO...

Not happy with couvre, dermmatch any better?

I've just started trying to use dermmatch at 5 months post-op from hair transplant #2. Still haven't gotten the hang of it. I think it's pretty easy to apply, but I may use too much because I get a chalky look to my hair. I tried wetting it after and toweling some out but to no avail. I've heard of...

after hair transplant, why is it necessary to take propecia?

Yes, most Doctor's recommend Propecia (Finasteride) to halt any further loss after you have had a hair transplant. Those who are good reponders, having tried Propecia before a hair transplant, sometimes can avoid having one altogether. Others too far gone that need the hair transplant use it to stave off further loss after having one.

    Nizoral Sheds

I've been using Nizoral 1% for the past 3 months and haven't noticed shedding. If you shed, maybe you could try 1% instead of 2%? I wasn't aware that Nizoral caused shedding and haven't heard of it before.

    Hairbank's Story

Hello, I've been involved in a couple of hair loss forums but this is my first visit here so I thought I'd share my story. I'll be turning 40 later this year and have been experiencing hair loss since around age 23. My loss started with a thin spot on the crown and gradually moved forward...
