On 1 mg finasteride since Aug 27, 2012. Nuts have felt like they've been kicked a lot. Libido is lower but not gone. I tried halving a pill today and I still am feeling it. Hey there. If we're using nizoral every three days, what should we use on the days in between? I know sulfates are bad but I haven't had any luck finding anything local without them.

Is proscar/finasteride/propecia all the same thing? Does this proscar require a perscription and come in 1mg or 5mg or what? As of now I think I'll get a script for finasteride. I'd prefer the 1mg but if 5mg is a lot more affordable then I'd have to chop them up into quarters as well.... sigh

that may not be correct. another user on this site called the manufacturer and they said the drug is not distributed evenly throughout the pills, which makes cutting them less effective. seems to me you'd be better off taking 1 mg pills every day.

Good to know, more questions: I thought the pills were not necessarily distributed evenly, this was a concern of the original poster I believe. Meaning you could cut it in half and end up with one piece containing 4 mg while the other only has one. Also, does this mean it is not available in...

what does are your pills? 1 mg? 5 mg? this must make a difference.

Can't you get it in 1 mg tabs? that'd save you the trouble of chopping it. Also could you take a 5mg pill every five days and get the same results?

Haven't seen too many threads about these natural cures. There is a lot of info out there on them and I thought there would be some discussion here on the topic. What say you?

I think I'd prefer to start with propecia/finasteride and re-evaluate after a year. I might add rogaine foam as well but I don't want to start with them both. If anyone could share a retailer that doesn't require a script that would be nice.

Ok I've got just one more question then, is there any difference between generic propecia and the real thing? When I bought it last time I had to get a prescription from my Doctor and then buy it from a pharmacy. It seems it is more popular to buy it online, no?
