So I just had a pretty severe allergic reaction to something (nothing hair loss related), and the doctor asked to halt finasteride and min while I am on medication to treat those. This will be for a week or so. Is that going to be a big problem? The drug interaction checker cleared finasteride, min and the other stuff...

Very slight. The standard sides were more obvious when I first started, but I was pretty much back to normal in a few weeks. I am pretty sure they more psychological and less physiological.

So I added biotin, and the hair is growing out at a fantastic rate now. Still seeing consistent through less rapid improvement. The one issue that I am facing is the non-uniformity of new hair around the frontal hairline. The temples have come forward significantly and so has the hair line up...

Running my hand through the hair, there would always be 5 or so stray hair that would come out. That stopped happening, and I find much much fewer hair on the pillow or in the bathtub. It's hard to say exactly when that started happening (should've kept better notes), but definitely withing 2-4...

Thanks for the response. I have seen somewhat reduced libido because of the finasteride, hence the idea of dropping the dosage. The sides are not too much of a bother at the present unfortunately, but it would be nice to reduce the side-effects once the hairline has recovered. I just added 50mg Zn...

I'm in the same boat. Using 5% for about 3 months now, and found new pair growth around my eyebrows. I am now one of those guys who thread around their eyes (eyebrows remain untouched though). :blush: On the plus side, I am seeing phenomenal regrowth from finasteride+minoxidil!
