For what it's worth, here's what think has happened with my Sandalore approach.
Almost 4 months in there are sections on my classic top central bald spot with new dark hairs showing (between 1 and 2 mm I estimate.

I have just made a new batch @ 0.5% but I think I may dilute again to 0.1% as I definitely have many new dark thick hairs after a couple of weeks using Argan Oil with a 0.1% solution
I find all this fascinating and the slow move towards a scientific approach is fantastic, as already stated mines been a bit of try everything.
So here are some random thoughts and suggestions as I now begin to apply a scientific approach. (most of the lazy people here will never read this...
Could the frequency, volume and type of 'application' also impact the effectiveness and not only the proportion of Sandalore?
As already described, I generally mix 0.5% sandalore to my application but use very different carriers. Additionally, I have added it to homemade natural shampoos...
May I inquire as to why Vanicream is the preferred 'solution'.
E45 appears to have similar ingredients and a 1/3rd of the price.
E45 also tends to get recommended here in the UK for those with sensitive skin!.

53, UK, bald spot growing since hitting 50. Good health, eat well (ie minimal processed foods) and gym most days (non smoker and little alcohol).
