I had the same problem. I stopped finasteride after 6 months, went for a haircut 2 months after finishing the drug and my hair was thinning all over my scalp. Debating with myself whether or not to go back on finasteride or not...
Your hair looks like mine while I was on finasteride.
The density has decreased a little over the years, and it doesn't look like it has improved at all. It is strange that some of us react to finasteride like this.
I am really not sure if that is a good idea. When I started finasteride back in June 2010 my hair started to diffuse which was quite scary... it gradually got better, however my hairline looked very thin. I got stressed out about it, due to the potential sides, therefore I dropped the drug. Two months...
I do the EXACT same thing. My hair is fine and long so when the wind waves it around part of my scalp can be seen... so I take a comb everywhere with me. Whenever I get the chance I comb it until it looks good.
Does your hair appear and feel thin all over? If so then you are may be experiencing diffuse in conjuction with male pattern baldness. You hair isn't that bad right now, so there is no need to panic. I reckon you should outline a little background to your family history... the age your dad, granddad went bald.
It would be a waste of time spending your money on emu oil, it won't work as a hairloss treatment. It may benefit the scalp and condition the hair, but as a treatment for any kind of baldness is just not true...
I just have a perfectly shapes jawline, and worried that minoxidil could somehow mess that up. I don't mean to be stuck up, but my facial structure is really good and for a treatment to ruin that, then I'd say it wouldn't be worth it.
Ah, I'm not sure whether to purchase some or not...? I mean I'd rather be bald than have wrinkles and a puffy face. The dilemma is whether to take the risk or not. :dunno:
I'd like to ask any minoxidil users if they have experiences wrinkles as a side effect of using minoxidil? How common is it? What other side effect are common when using minoxidil?
I am completely new to this theory so excuse many of my questions. My main question is is it good to lower your SHBG levels or raise them?
Because many foods and supplements (many spoken about hair loss treatments) on here (http://www.peaktestosterone.com/Free_Testosterone_SHBG.aspx) lower SHBG...
Diet has very little or no control on whether or not you'll lose you hair. Sure it helps keep hair healthy, but the healthiest head of hair will not save you from baldness.
e.g. The culture in Asia seem to have low records of male pattern baldness, adopting their diet will not change our gene pattern.
