    Exploring The Hormonal Route. Hair=life.

Hello, I posted about shaving my head about a month ago and now that a month has passed, I believe I can accurately survey the damage. So far, things look "good", with the exception of the early hairline loss, I've grown back the majority of my hair. Even with the hairline miniaturization my...

I've decided it will be best that I shave my head, not permanently, but to see how it grows back. My hair was quite long when I started noticing my hairloss. As a result, it's hard to determine what the true damage is. It has the added frustration of people close to me not taking me seriously...

I'm thinking of modifying my plan. Originally I was going to go for 25-50 mg of Bica and 4-6 mg of E2 for the first three months before switching to 6+mg E2 monotherapy. But now I'm wondering if it would be best to simply start out with 6 mg E2 monotherapy and add Bica after 3-6 months if the...

I've posted them earlier in the thread. Right now, I plan to request 25-50 mg Bicalutamide, 6 mg E2 in the beginning. After 3-6 months, I'll taper off of Bicalutamide and go up to 8 mg E2 Monotherapy, leaving the option of adding Progesterone after about 9-12 months.

I've been doing a lot of reading, on both Reddit and here. Since I am planning to actually transition as non-binary/gender-fluid I choose to go the full HRT route from the beginning. Noticing my hair thinning forced me to confront my dysphoria more seriously. I presented solely as masculine...

My reservations about monotherapy come from the fact that on trans forums, monotherapy with E2 pills is commonly seen as less effective. They usually suggest going with E2 injections instead of pills if one wants it to be more effective.

spironolactone is the AA most transwomen use during transition, and they've gotten the results that have led to everyone here considering HRT in the first place. So, maybe it shouldn't have been cast aside so readily.

For me, facial feminization is more of a feature, as I'm also considering HRT to transition as non-binary. Noticing my hairloss and the resulting dysphoria is what has brought me to this. I'm actually quite excited about the potential physical changes. It makes me want to adopt a new...

Well, I'm more concerned about the long term effects of taking so many different meds. At most, I've taken painkillers and anti-biotics temporarily after dental work.

It's a commonly held belief here and on various HRT related subreddits. I think some people do maintain penile length and function, but others don't. From what I've read, the rule of thumb is "use it or lose it." and from my experience, a lot of transwomen prefer not to use it and therefore...

Breast growth is one thing I could take or leave though I lean towards leave, but I also do like the possibility of facial feminization. Another reason people take Bica is for penile function. I know Dr Powers sells a T-gel compound to combat penile atrophy, though.

I feel as though I may have higher than average T due to genetics. Though a test would be needed to be sure of that. Is adding Ralox expensive? Are there added side effects? Taking too many meds is also a concern for me.

I have some reservations about how effective monotherapy is. So, the Bica is to give the E2 an early advantage to take hold against T/DHT.

Now that I have a plan in mind: Bica + E2 4mg for the first three months and then E2 6mg^ monotherapy. Now I just want to figure out if progesterone would be a helpful addition later on down the road or if it'd just be superfluous. Given that my hairloss is genetic, it may just be run of the...

As I've mentioned before, I actually intend to transition as non-binary. My current plan is to request Bica and 4mg E2 for the first three months before tapering off of Bica and upping E2 to at least 6 mg, going up as needed to hit targets. But now I'm wondering if tapering off Bica could...
