4k euros per graft is kinda steep. How much coverage are you gonna get from those 4 grafts?

Hahaha damn what a small world! Yeah I flew out the day after. The swelling was moderate. My wife said I looked like Jimmy Neutron lol but it wasn’t as bad as other cases I’ve seen. I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience!

Approaching the 3 month mark. Don’t have too much in terms of noticeable results yet but I can feel a sh*t ton of prickly hairs sprouting in my crown area so hopefully that’s a good sign haha. I did get my operation photos back so here are a few of those.

Here are a few of my 4m pics. Still early in the process. Better than baseline but I think the majority of the growth will occur in the next few months. I am not on minoxidil so I will likely be a slower grower than most of his patients that use it. Not a ton to see in the crown imo and it’s hard to compare with lighting having such a large impact on the look since I’m just taking these pics with my iPhone.

I have noticed that now I can swoop my hair to the right and not have to worry skin showing in the right frontal area. This alone is such a huge relief and something I fixated on a lot before the transplant. I also definitely had a good bit of donor shock loss, which initially terrified me. But Dr. Zarev assured me it would resolve itself within 4-6 months and sure enough my donor looks great now. I buzz it to a 1 and I myself would never have been able to tell I got 4k grafts removed. No white dot scars with his extraction method, which is great. I’ll post more and better pics in the coming months.

I think it sucks that he hides his methods and at the same time only takes so few patients.

Every patient should get Zarev like results and if he has achieved some breakthrough with extraction and implantation, he should share it with rest of surgeons.

That’s a selfish aspect of him I think. But obviously great surgeon towards his patients with outstanding results

It won’t be long before there’s a breakthrough in methods. Looking at how much transplants have progressed in the last 5 years is crazy. The industry has blown as of recent and it seems every man and his dog are getting one from a social media POV. It’s had billions plugged into it in recent years so that creates more doctors, clinics and a larger budget.

Making slow but steady progress month after month. Attached are photos I took a few weeks ago at the 6 month mark. There is still growth to go, especially in the crown since Zarev said the crown comes in slower and I still feel a lot of prickly hairs back there.

My final graft counts were as follows:
Front/hairline: 1,630
Crown: 2,430
Total: 4,060

Great results! Looks very natural, not like the straight ugly hairlines in some turkish clinics.

Looks brillant
my own hairloss is very similar except i have had hairline done at 26 succesfully. i certaintly dont have up to 10,000 grafts left though. I think in my own case it may come down to if beard donor is suitable. Because i may need it in the future.

Here’s the 8 month update. Still chugging along. I’d guess I’ve seen most of the growth in the hairline at this point but the crown is still a bit slow. I still feel a lot of prickly hairs in the crown so I think that should thicken up in the next few months. Overall very happy with the result so far!

Here are my 10 month photos. I think the hairline result is pretty much final, but the crown is still slow to come in. I still feel a good number of shorter hairs and even prickly hairs that have barely penetrated through the scalp in the crown area. I think it will take several more months before the result is final, which honestly surprises me.

I plan to get the hairline touched up a bit during my next transplant (not sure when that will be…). I think the right side looks freaking mint and and on the left side I would touch up a few spots. Overall happy with the result and being patient with the slow progress in the crown.

It’s weird to look back at the pre-op photos because my brain doesn’t remember my hair being that bad but pics don’t lie. Best money I’ve ever spent that’s for sure.
