Will 1500 grafts get me to a solid NW2?

I don’t need to be an NW1 by any means but I would like to have a sense enough NW2 hairline that I can style.

that going to take 2000 grafts or would 1500 be enough? I’d like to be conservative to address future loss but I also don’t want to go in and drop $15-20k and still have a thin hairline.

love to get anyone’s thoughts! TIA

1500 would not be enough. That would be for a much lower Norwood. If you go to the best in Turkey, it won't cost you as much as you think. Pekiner is a good choice. I got quoted 1800 and my hair situation is alot better than yours.

Your hair looks almost identical to mine before I got hair transplant. I wasn't conservative and they lowered hairline a bit and I got NW1 line. It took ~3070 grafts and I need a touch up to improve density and add more single grafts to the very beginning of the hairline. So I guess it'll cost me ~3800 grafts just for NW3. I would be more conservative with all the experience I have now.
I'd say you need ~2500 if you want to be conservative.

Were you trying to get to a nw1? I’ve never had had much better than an nw2. I would consider myself an nw3 ish now so it hasn’t gotten much worse over the past 15 years.

The only reservation I have with turkey is I don’t think they are super conservative. They’ll dense pack you to a nw1 at 18 years old if you want.

Id like an improved lowered hairline but nw2 is all I’m looking for.

Did you also have diffuse thinning,or just regular male pattern baldness?

I think 2000 grafts would get you a conservative NW2 hairline. Don't know why you don't want NW1 though

I’m not sure I’ve had an nw1 hairline since 8th grade. It’s not that ideally I wouldn’t want one as much as I’m more than content at nw2 at my age and it allows me to be conservative in case I have a lot of loss later.

@DoctorHouse were you looking to go to nw1 at 1800 hairs or would that just bump you to an nw2?

I was under the impression 1500-2000 hairs could bump you at least one number on the Norwood scale.

I have a high forehead so it would just lower it some but I don't have too much recession.

Why should he have a NW1 hairline? He is not 18 anymore and a lot of young guys have norwood 2 anyway so Norwood 2 as a older guy is decent and wonderful lol.

Going to do hair transplant in the summer my self for sure lol
