Why white people bald faster

I'm not too sure why asians tend to bald less or slower. Perhaps it has somthing to do with greater levels of testosterone and therefore dht. I'm asian, but I think i'm balding at pretty much the same as some white dudes so I guess it doesn't really matter we all end up at the same place :dunno:

Anyways I live in Vancouver, BC and I have some native friends and none of them bald, just grey with age and they don't even grey prematurely. They don't have the gene(s) for baldness as they were an isolated population that didn't mix with the rest of asia and europe for centuries.

One thing I observed after going to the casino last night, was that young white men who were balding tended to have significantly higher norwood levels, and receded hairlines than similarly aged balding asian men. The asians I noticed were almost undetectable for the most part; slight diffuse thinning or thinning at the vertex. However, there was very little difference in all men aged 35-50, everyone was just bald like norwood 6-7. I know I'm a loser :sobbing: :mrgreen:

Oh, and one more thing. Black guys look good with the shaved look, I wonder what I would look like only time will tell lol.

Cassins right, there's a statistic, or a theory to support just about every races superiority/inferiority when it comes to hairlines and hairloss rates.

I know plenty of balding black men, and balding latinos, and natives.. I live right by the reserve. However It's possible less natives bald when compared to white men. but once again just an observation.. nothing solid.

Exactly. It's all genetic.

You could apply the same argument as to why more people of Latin/Native American descent have diabetes. Is it their lifestyle? No, they are more likely to be genetically predisposed to it.

I disagree. In fact, I see a lot of older Asian women with really thin hair. It's bad for us guys, but its a hell of a lot worse for women.

What are you talking about? Plenty of black people go bald, it's just because since they are dark you don't notice the dark stubble horshoe as you would on a white person.

Not only that... look around. Watch a basketball game. I'm a bit of a Celtics fan, and I can't picture Ray Allen or KG with hair. Are they bald by choice? I don't know. Dave Chapelle lost his hair. That supermodel dude lost his hair (Tyson whatever). Black men definitely go bald.

I agree that asians are less likely to go bald, but I'm not sure about blacks. At work, I have 6 black guys on my team all in their twenties... 4 of them are nw5+.

The thing that I noticed about whites that other races don't get much is the mature hairline. A lot of white people get a mature hairline at a young age and then they don't lose any more hair after that, or it's takes a decade before they start losing again. Seems like if an asian dude gets a mature hairline at a young age, there's a guarantee that they will go bald.

I'm asian too btw (filipino)... don't see too many asians on this board so that too can be proof that not many of us go bald. I'm not sure about the women of other asian nationalities, but many filipino women actually prefer guys with shaved heads. So I guess I can be considered lucky in that regard.

I'm sure the nuclear radiation from 2 atomic bombs made more of an impact on their hair loss than potato chips post WWII.

Well the thing is......black people can't disguise hair loss at all due to their hair texture. A black NW3 looks pretty bad because there's no styling options for it like there are for white people. Black guys look best IMO with either a NW1 or shaved slick.

Yup, it's pretty gay to be anywhere past NW1 as a black guy. Our hairline is exposed no matter what style we choose. Even braids/cornrows/dreads will expose the hairline.

I think your right. Different races have different hair textures, which may make the appearance of male pattern baldness more noticeable particullary in white people. I think life style plays apart in too however. Westeners (consisting mostly of white people) seem to live more unhealthy lives compared to easterness (consisting mostly of non white people) and yet male pattern baldness is more prevalent with westerners or at at least thats how it was 60 years ago before world war 2.

It's more complicated than fine haired people go bald earlier. I know a lot of Jews, Italians, and Greeks who are extremely hairy, and have been their entire lives, but went bald early and quickly.

It's genetics plain and simple.

black guys are geneticallysuperior in my eyes. better athletes.. build muscle quicker. have alot higher ratio of fast twitching muscle which makes them great sprinters. also great long distance runners. they have larger c**** ( gota be related to size of black womens booty). amazing hairlines, dont burn in the sun ..list goes on. i wish i was black

That is a funny stereotype.

I remember as a child watching a movie where Japanese people were in america as tourists. They all had cameras taking pictures of everything possible. I believed (as a child) that the Japanese really knew their cameras.

I seem to observe black and white men about the same percentages of baldness. It is just the norm for a black man to shave his head and think nothing of it, as it usually looks better than his hair anyway.

Someone mentioned that most blonde men go bald, and I agree. Reason may be the fact that blonde hair and blue eyes are a recessive trait, meaning they have a narrower gene pool of parents. End result, since the bald gene is dominant, its smooth head eventually shows up. (pun intended from a blonde male)

It just annoys me how many white people (bleeding hearts) think they are being noble by kissing the *** of blacks saying they are genetically superior because of their athleticism or melanin. Yet if someone were to turn the tables and talk about white or asian IQ stats/inventions etc compared to other races you are immediately branded a racist. I say knock that sh*t off across the board or dont cry racism when someone shows you a flip side to that coin.

Chinese are generally smaller than us and have a yellowish skin with slanted eyes. Fact. doesn't make me racist!
