In my non expert opinion you have male pattern baldness. Around nw3 it right before it. Recession only. I don't think you have areata.

You have thinness on your sides sure but your hair is short and you are using a flash so seeing scalp is
to be expected.

I don't see any bald spots on the sign which would be a tell tale sign of areata.

I take it back. More of a Norwood 2.5

Your childhood hair naturally receded back a little more than the average.

That's a lot of updates. I'm guessing you saw my childhood photo and realize that I have always had a higher hairline. I'm pretty sure I have male pattern baldness, but I'm wondering if I ALSO have areata. It's not really a stretch, since I have generalized anxiety disorder + OCD, and autoimmunity runs in my family (I have eczema, for instance). I also had a high eosinophil count, if that tells you anything.

Ryukil, you have been asking the same questions over and over for months on here and hlh. You have been given advice which you ignore, you have been banned twice. Yet still you come back asking the same same things again, starting multiple threads. Do not do this, as you will get banned and IP blocked. Consider this your very last warning.

I still find it interesting that no one can answer my questions.

Your answers were definitely answered dude. But from what it sounds like you are just waiting for someone to tell you what you want to hear. So here it is. Yes you have cancer and are dieing. This explains the thinning hair in a non male pattern baldness fashion. I recommend movimg
to some place tropical to live out the rest of your days. I give you about 2 weeks to live.

But in all seriousness you have male pattern baldness and that's it. Everything else is all in your imagination. Stop your bitching.

Ryukil, you have been told you obviously have hair loss. There is no doubt you show signs of male pattern baldness and possibly areata. You seem to have fine hair and when you cut it short is is going to look thinner all over. Regardless, what are you going to do about it? I know why you want it to be areata more than male pattern baldness. You figure one condition means your hair could come back and the other condition will make it gone forever. Logically you want it to be areata but its not just that. Areata tends to be more in women than in men so your condition is more likely mostly due to male pattern baldness.

What do you guys think of this picture?
http://s1217.photobucket.com/user/Peter_Charles11/media/unnamed.jpg.html

All I did was cut it a little shorter in that area. Now I'm pretty sure it looks like this ALL OVER MY HEAD. But...yeah. I'm not dismissing that I have male pattern baldness. I just think it's possible that maybe some of the temple loss is due to areata. Why not? The fact that it looks like this on the side of my head convinces me that I have areata. I mean...look at it! It looks like ****ing areata! It's sure as hell not male pattern baldness (male pattern baldness is not going to affect the sides at all)!

I'll be going to a specialist soon, apparently one of the best dermatologists in the state I'm in who knows all about rare conditions.

Let me just show you guys an interesting picture:
http://www.omicsgroup.org/journals/2167-0951/images/2167-0951-1-101-g009.gif

That guy doesn't have male pattern baldness; he has a weird type of alopecia areata. Believe it or not, it's the truth.

http://www.omicsgroup.org/journals/...-in-trichology-2167-0951.1000101.php?aid=2738

Check out the section towards the bottom. These people were given hair transplants, or put on Propecia, when they actually didn't have androgenic hair loss. It just looked like androgenic hair loss. So all I'm saying is that it CAN happen. Alopecia areata is rare, but I am convinced that I have it. I mean, if that pic doesn't convince you something other than male pattern baldness is going on here, then I don't know what will. One dermatologist ALREADY CONFIRMED that I have it on my face, but she said she has never heard of alopecia areata incognita and basically blew me off, which is why I am now going to a different doctor who apparently knows all of her ****.

Yes. That's what my hair looks like under there. That's the problem. I am trying to ask people why it looks like that. Whatever ^^. I can tell you that it's not that I cut it that way.

It's irrelevant. I need a scalp biopsy, or someone to look at it with a dermatoscope.

You're going to a dermatologist why are you even bothering asking random people on a forum? Ryukil I wish you the best of luck. Come back and tell us what your dermatologist says.
