Hello there,
It has been 4 months since the treatment for me. I went to see my dermatologist today, I always go every 3-6 months to make pictures and see how things are.
I had told him that I was going to try the treatment, he then said he doesn't believe it will help. In his opinion it's just like prp.
So today I told him that I did it and that my hair slowly stopped falling at the 4 months mark.
Since September I was having a heavy shedding 400-600 hairs per washing and now I loose 100 hairs when I wash.
So he maid the pics, to see how the top of the head looks like and said it looks very well. But he also said that I probably had a seasonal shedding, now its February and so it stopped.
He then went to make magnified pictures and said: oh I must say though, it looks indeed very good and it can't just be the stopping of the shedding. I would say that the treatment had good results after all.
So he started asking me, how it was, how much did it cost and so on.
I for myself, have the impression that my hair stopped falling (not completely but by a lot), and is thicker.
So this is my updated for you guys at 4 months post kerastem treatment.

Hi Sofia, thanks for your feedback. Good to read you respond well to the treatment!

Just a few questions, could you remind us:

What was your condition? Androgenetic Alopecia or AA?
Did you get the procedure done in Belgrade or Geneva? Any pics to share?
Where did you do the magnified pics out of curiosity? I can't find any place so far to share my results (7 months today).

Hello @Stupidon,
I am 43 years old and I have been diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia. I had the treatment done in Belgrade, unfortunately I don't really have pictures to share since the Doctor keeps them, but I could maybe ask if he would be willing to send me the magnified ones, from this time and the last one.
I live in Zurich, Switzerland and my doctor is a prof. Dr. hairloss specialist.
I can tell you that I didn't change anything to my regime, I basically take vitamins and lately iron, as I am allergic to minoxidil.

Congratulations Sofia. :)

It's not saying so much about kerastem, as hairloss sometimes stops for no reason and ia stagnated a few years.

Still what counts is your hair, so I'm very happy for you.

The data from the trials should come in soon, too.

I meant for their treatment. I'm already settled in an IB. :)
I have some friends working in the L'oréal strategy team, I could ask if we can do a Q&A. But this is too early.

What is an IB?

What tech is Loreal using to try to regrow hair? Is this the 3d bio-printing technology?

How far along are the studies? What phase?

@sofia glad to hear it seems to be working for you, though I would love to see the pictures for some actual density comparison if you could get them just for curiosity's sake

Not same method, nonetheless ADSC treatment:

http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352587817300050

"We can note that the hair density was significantly (P<0.0001) augmented after treatment with ADSCs (121.1±12.5 and 120.8±12.6 versus 85.1±8.7, respectively for 6 and 3 months post-op versus pre-op) ( Table 3). The growth mean was around 36% and the optimal effect was 61.2% (figure 2)."

What is the difference between this technology and the technology used by Kerastem?

I am secretly hoping that because I had quit minoxidil shortly before treatment, and started finasteride shortly after… that who knows, maybe part of my disappointment is that my own head is all out of whack, maybe in a year I'll have some kind of regrowth and newfound stability. (clings to hope  I didn't just light ~$6k on fire)

The hair pull tests and such from this were pretty encouraging, although who really knows how the treatment compares to Kerastem. Hopefully the Kerastem trials make some progress soon.

There are several clinical trials running btw.

- The Effect of Allogeneic Human Adipose Derived Stem Cell Component Extract on Androgenic Alopecia

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02594046

- STYLE -- A Trial of Cell Enriched Adipose For Androgenetic Alopecia (STYLE)

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02503852

- Adipose-derived SVF for Treatment of Alopecia

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02626780

- Point-of-Care Adipose-derived Cells for Hair Growth (ASVF-2016)

All of these adipose tissue treatments are a little different. We need to find out which ones work best so we can select the best one(s). They could all be approved and available somewhere soon so the big question is - which one(s) is/are the most effective?

One thing that scares me though is that these ADSCs migrate out of the target area rapidly after injection.

@Swoop and @nameless
Can we trust any of these practices that are offering ADSC now to have prepared and extracted the serum properly? I feel like the one near me in Atlanta is just riding the hype, probably gonna Lipo me, put it in a Harvest prp extraction machine and shove it back in for a quick 3k.

https://www.kaloshairtransplant.com/fat-stem-cell-therapy.html

I had prp done about two months ago and honestly (could be placebo) but it seemed to make it a wee bit better, hence my interest

Also anyone within driving range of Atlanta doing it you'd trust more? Boca Ranton or Miami?

But which one of them is best baldingAF? Each of these adipose treatments are a little different. Some of them might give little or no benefit while others might give good benefit. How to select the ones that are good? If you get the wrong one - one that's sh*t - then it won't work and you could think that all adipse treatments are sh*t. But if you had gone to the right one you might have gotten good results.

We need to figure out which one(s) is/are good.

Seems like Kerastem's pure graft system is the only one that address keeping them stem cells localized in the area of injection.

All studies seem to be using some form of hypoxia/oxygen deprivation in order to facilitate a more influential state of the growth factors. I think histogen does the same thing to some degree.

Damn reasearch... my hair loss makes it honestly hard for me to focus from worrying.

Considering just getting Aape from Prostemics, proper storage conditions and seems roller and see if I get anything
