except sex does not have any statistically significant effect on hormone levels.

and i am sure the several of the morons you see on tv that insist they have been abducted by aliens actually believe it and are being quite honest. that does not change the fact that it is utter nonsense.

You should be less judgmental about someone's beliefs when yours are just as off.

It is only serum testosterone that has been shown to not be affected by ejaculation, the other hormones either are significantly affected or have not been studied yet.

Sex also has a proven significant effect on dopamine which has far reaching effects.

Edit: should stress it's the act of ejaculation that has been shown to have no effect on serum testosterone. Sexual activity, sexual thoughts or even sexual imagery DO have a significant effect on test.

Cheers Brains :)

This was just inspired by the fact that some guys had given themselves male pattern baldness by excessive sexual activity. And then reversed it flat-out when they stopped.

You can call them liers if you want but they seemed pretty credible to me. I don't think the body is really designed for sexual activity ALL the time.

that is about prolactin, not testosterone.

and furthermore, in that other thread the first study pointed to sex LOWERING testosterone. which would mean it is good for your hair, not bad.
