When They Developed Finasteride, What Were They Thinking?

When they developed finasteride, they already knew there were type 1 and type 2 (just ignore type 3 for here), and they specifically developed finasteride to inhibit type 2! Why? Why didn't they choose to inhibit all of them like duasteride? Was that out of safety concern?

DHT pass blood brain barrier and that is why the depression of anxiety. Search on pubmed how finasteride low neurohormones by 3.5 folds.

Lol. Finasteride stoped it. So why the anxiety and depression ? Why this is not reported with rogaine users ? Really, do some basic search on DHT and neurohormones , go to pubmed .

I think the baldy man means the distress of balding especially at a young age can cause significant mood changes which can lead to depression and anxiety. I for one think hes right as if balding did not affect us psychologically in some way none of us would be posting on these forums lol. You are right though finasteride does cause changes in the brain, its just a matter of weighing the pros and cons.

Yeah weigh the pros and cons, just because depression and anxiety can be a side effect doesn't mean it will happen if you take finasteride. And I am not saying it is ideal but it is the only treatment available today that can slow down or stop baldness? So if no finasteride then what? Become a hair wearer? The thought of becoming NW7 by my mid 20s or early 30s depresses the sh*t out of me, so what is the difference between being depressed because finasteride might inhibit neurosteroid production, and cause depression as a rare side effect being depressed because you are a millenial with a 70 year old's hair? So my choices are a chance I may become depressed through finasteride usage or I will certainly become depressed by being slick bald in my mid 20s, the time when you are supposed to have awesome hair. If you guys can cope with being bald so well that you forego, finasteride, the only way to slow it down, then hat's off to you because you cope better than I do. I will put my hat back on right now to hide my receding hairline
