Do you mean the one concluding that "[t]reatment with finasteride led to durable improvements in scalp hair over five years"? It's already been discussed ad nauseam. Finasteride monotherapy is not an optimal treatment, anyway.

Long-term maintenance is a realistic goal. Regrowth is more variable.

I have no in depth knowledge of the merck study trentender is refering to, but I believe that the 5 year mark is just the maximum timeline studied and not the "start of the fall".

If I am wrong I would like to be informed of being so- I think this is crucial.

Sorry I said 5 year mark on the above posts, I meant 2 year mark.

SE - Freak, I was referring to the Propecia vs Placebo hair count difference over 5 years use. The results showed that after year 2 hair count in the Propecia group began to fall steadily after 2 years towards the 5 year mark where the test was ceased.
