What Norwood Would You Consider Me? 22 Y/o With Pics

My crown is my worst part (getting pretty transparent) and I also have diffuse thinning throughout my scalp. What norwood would you consider me? I started taking finasteride a month ago and I’ve noticed a lot of shedding (50 hairs in the shower) do you think I can recover at all or at least maintain?

im 21 and ur hair looks the same as mine with the only difference being that you have more crown thinning but i have more thinning on the top. I consider us to be NW1.75+ diffuse.

I didn’t put my hairline in it so I’m curious what Norwood I am. Also because I have ocd a bit probably... 1 month of finasteride and I believe my hair is even worse. Any constructive input?

Yes, use it for a year and use Toppik.

Norwood 2 I would say.
Crown balding of such a severity at this age is sign that your are going to bald soon,may be u would be bald near 30.
You also have diffuse thinning which adding to this balding process and appearance.
Not discouraging you,you are taking measures is good thing but I can't tell you how this will help you. But keeping this remaining valuable mane should be your priority. Study some thread here about finasteride use.
Telling what you think is good than giving false hope.isn't it?? Best luck to you my friend.

You don’t believe finasteride or even Dutasteride will stop me from balding? Also is it really that severe? Some people in another thread told me I may just have a big whorl (which I do) but I do know I’m definitely thinning as well.

finasteride SHOULD stop you from balding further. Regrowth isn't all that common but since you have loss at the crown ( which is where finasteride works best ) You can cross your fingers and hope it thickens up. I think you will at least maintain what you got.

finasteride SHOULD stop you from balding further. Regrowth isn't all that common but since you have loss at the crown ( which is where finasteride works best ) You can cross your fingers and hope it thickens up. I think you will at least maintain what you got.

When my hair’s wet it’s more noticeable. But you really think my crown isn’t terribly thin? The dude above us really threw me into a whirlwind of doubt

Yeah it sucks but I gotta keep fighting the good fight. I've had my hair cut pretty short compared to what it used to be and its really hard to notice shedding now so my mind hasn't been as fixated on it.. I now use dermmatch on my hairline and a little bit of toppik on top, combine that with mild coverup game and my hair actually looks pretty good, I just hope my hair loss stops sometime in the near future.

I hope so too man! I’ve been losing a lot of hair since starting finasteride (the only time I started to pay attention) and I dread taking showers now. Im right there with ya.
