''The study on Propecia is sketchy AF'. You realize to pass FDA regulations you need multiple studies in multiple phases to pass over a course of years with hundreds of millions spent? It is pretty stringent to at least prove the chemical does what the claim is.
The FDA themselves are sketchy AF.

Like I said: do what you want.

Has there been much more success ? Your hair seems pretty early in the balding stages I think you'll be fine on the meds.
90% of the time I've been on treatments I have lost ground. I initially regrew on oral minoxidil but that all fell out and more a few months later. Now on cypro my shedding is fluctuating. It seems overall it has decreased a bit and I'm 40 days in. Hopefully I will stabilize soon. The pics I posted on here are from December 2016 and I've lost quite a bit since then. Things might turn around soon, I hope!

Why can't you use topical min?
I don't want to because it seems like a pain and effects can wear off aswell as the hairs being dependent on the min. I just don't want to add more expenses.

Not familiar with cypri either ??
I can but I can't be bothered applying it everyday lol. The only topical I use is topical estrogen which doesn't cause shedding so its okay If I get lazy with it. Cypro is short for Cyproterone Acetate (Androcur) Its a very powerful anti androgen that shuts down testosterone production.

You've tried duta aswell?
I have not tried dutasteride and I have no intention to. From what I've seen and read on various forums over the last few years that dutasteride can really ruin somebody's hair, specifically the hairline ( where my loss is ) I've read of people reporting it happen and ive estimated its roughly 1 in 3 times which is wayyy to high of a risk for me. I won't deny if dutasteride works then it works great but the risks just not worth it in my opinion.

Herbal remedies are snake oils. Hormones aren't important in my opinion, an imbalance won't kill you.

You say that now. I had slightly elevated estrogen levels and lower T and took an AI (Aromasin) and brought estrogen down quite low, but still within normal range. My cholesterol (LDL and HDL) and Triglyceride levels were changed for the much much worse after 3 months. Almost to the point where the doctor said I may need a Statin if it continues. We know Estrogen is very important for men in terms of bones, joints, blood lipids, brain (and so is Testosterone) and when you lower them too much or create imbalances with drugs they have unforseen consequences.

The way I see it is I'm in hell already, if it kills me (which it won't) its still a better alternative to me than using natural products.

I think perhaps you may need to speak with a psychologist and take brand name Finasteride and use Rogaine foam and stick with it for 6 months. There is a point in life where you need to detach from how you LOOK and realize that it is all temporary. For some people this lesson happens when they are born, when they are 5, 20 or hit middle age. It happens for EVERYONE and is UNAVOIDABLE. This is your time.

I already see a psychologist every 2 weeks and have done for more than a year. I first started on Merck brand propecia for a year and it didn't work, I even have a thread on here about it with pics showing before and afters. Topical minoxidil is a huge commitment and if it doesn't work you still can't stop unless you want a bad shed, why on earth would I put myself through that?

Are you taking any psychiatric medications?

Yeah. Mirtazapine for depression and insomnia and diazepam for anxiety.

You usually can add another antidepressant to those two. I think you may need to look and see why you are willing to sacrifice your health for slight recession, which most on this board cannot really see.

Hair line recession is not terrible...it is so common and many attractive men have hair line recession. You can always get a reduction in the forehead later down the road and a hair transplant. Hair line is the hardest to treat (more so than the top). I have heard of ppl getting success from massage and derma rolling, even though people scoff at it as voodoo, but I would look into it. Helps 'relax' the hair line. There are good success stories with no financial interests attached.

Hormones arnt important? It helps make u who u are. Think long term
What? No, hormones don't make you who you are. You're born with your own unique personality. Are you trying to say you weren't you when as a child?

I've previously used a dermaroller and I completely believe in its benefits. I kept pulling hair put though so I figured it was doing more harm than good for me.
