Gp is my doctor who will hopefully refer me to a derm

What age are you? If you are 30 or less then it is considered aggressive balding. Try get a prescription for finasteride, that should hopefully thicken up your crown.

Why can't you go directly to a derm?? Is there a law that requires you to go through a GP's recommendation?? Can't you just google some derms near you and pay them a visit?? That's what I did for myself (india).

I got aggressive Hair loss too bro, I'm 20 with NW2.2 Gonna start quite a hardcore regimen soon so I hope I can regrow with that.

MY GP prescribed me some shampoo to use to see how it goes. IVe Googled derms in my area but none seem to specialise in hair

Androgenetic hairloss can't be curbed by shampoos. It can be an ancillary to the fight against hairloss but won't do anything on its own apart from providing respite from inflammation. Technically,a derm is capable of providing you solutions for hair and scalp. I hope you know that a hair specialist is known as a trichologist. Try searching for a trichologist.
