Washing the crown

Hello,

I have signs of baldness at the crown, and although there is no bald spot, the scalp is noticeable as I've lost hair in that area and most of the hairs that are still there are very thin. I've been on finasteride for almost two weeks and will add Rogain and possibly something else in a week or so (including new shampoo).

Anyway, when I wash and (softly) dry the crown it thickens up. It still doesn't look perfect, but it looks maybe 30% better, and every little bit helps.

JayMan told me on another thread that washing the hair doesn't effect hairloss, but what about prominately washing that crucial area where your balding is evident?

Thanks,
Aden

Washing wont do anything.

Your hair only looks thicker after washing because you're removing all the dirt and oils holding it down and clumping it together. If you cut your hair short (1-2 inches long) and then use a blow dryer you can add a little extra poof to it which makes it look a bit thicker as well.
