Hi,

Sorry I'm sure this question has been answered before but as many others likely coming here i have been having an extremely hard time with my hair loss and need a solution so i can start living my life again. A little about me I'm about to turn 30, hair loss doesn't run in my family but i began noticing two years ago something was very wrong. i immediately saw a transplant specialist but through talking with them made the realization that nothing they could do would ever give me the old me back so to speak. I've been on rogain for the last year although i think i may be in the group that gets no results and am still loosing hair at a very fast rate each day.
so doing all the searching i could do led me to hair systems. which seem at the face of it like a great option if done correctly. I honestly have no problem as a man wearing one because i feel like if i look in the mirror and see myself the way i feel inside then nothing else matters. I spend far to many hours a day looking in mirrors constantly playing with whats left in a last ditch effort to remember what it feels like to have hair.

Anyone have any advice on products / can i buy a stock system and cut it myself or is that too risky etc... My only real ace in the hole is my mother is a hairdresser and a very good one and at that so i have someone i can go to for trims etc.. although I'm sure she's never dealt with a system per say.

thanks guys any advice and help is more then appreciated

Hi Optimistic, welcome. You sound like you have a very good upbeat attitude, so I hope hair replacement will prove to be the answer you are looking for. I would say it is too risky to try cutting the piece in yourself. Much better to ask your mother to do it. I am not a hairdresser, but I believe there are just a few basic differences compared with cutting a growing head of hair - you want the hairpiece thinned vertically rather than horizontally, and without any blunt lines.

When you say 'products', do you mean the systems themselves or styling and adhesive products?

I get most of my products from Ebay or Amazon. You can also buy from some beauty shops. Your supply should give help on what to buy depending on what you order.

I have sent a PM
