Walker Lace Release Vs Rubbing Alcohol

I've no difficulty removing systems from my head, but I'm wondering if Walker's Lace release will make tape removal from my lace base any easier.

I want to be as delicate as possible with my units. I've heard Lace Release is primarily alcohol, but I noted it does have mineral oil in it...

The active removal ingredient is the alcohol - the mineral oil is just to make it feel nice. But rubbing alcohol is not pure enough to work well. I think it is about 90% isopropyl alcohol. For the best result you need 99% purity, which you can buy cheaply in bulk from pharmacies and DIY stores, although you may need to order it.

Is there enough oil in the spray to add lubricity and aid in the breakdown of product?

I know from experience that disgusting C22 removes adhesive like there's no tomorrow but creates an oily mess...

91 and 99 made no noticable difference to me.

Should I just add a little oil to my 99 spritz?

It doesn't work like that for me. The alcohol soaks through the lace, and after a few minutes it breaks the bond between the lace and the glue. Then I lift the piece off, and all being well the glue stays on my head and the piece is glue-free. Once the piece is off, I can just scrub the glue and tape off my head in the shower.

I don't really want lubricity (if that means the glue residue gets all gooey or oily).

The extra 8% makes a big difference to me as to how cleanly the piece comes off. Interesting that you don't get the same result.

How do you spray through the hair and onto your adhesive w an all-poly system?

I thought it's non porous.

So far, that unit, I've only peeled the unit off my head. Any attempt to remove tape w alcohol was unsuccessful. Of course I was spraying onto the PU base then trying to peel...
