Are you wearing a full lace?
I'm not sure to be honest - I go to a hair salon for maintenance once a month and I think they are really rough with the unit and perhaps that is a factor in why it has shedded so quick. But not really sure how to prevent shedding
That and those salons charge a rip off. Unless you want a really good fade cut-in of the donor hair once every 6-8 weeks, I wouldn't bother with hair replacement salons otherwise.
You can easily do the maintenance yourself at home.
Various guides and youtubers you can learn off.
MG Ford(Mike Ford) and Phil Osmond(Hair4all) has very useful install and removal/clean up videos, and how to cut the hair too.
I use clippers guard no 7, no 5 up to the middle and no 3 up to top of ear height for cutting the donor hair for a system to blend in. That was learnt from Phil Osmond's videos.
You need a dummy head to help you with attachment and clean up. Much easier to apply and remove tapes on that than in your hands.
C22 Solvent, paper towels and cotton wool for cleanup.
Sulphate free shampoo and sulphate free colour safe conditioner. A suitable wide tooth brush.
Lace Release spray and/or dab on for removal.
Scalp protector, leave in conditioner and suitable tapes and glues.
Patch test them each for 24 hours on your arm with a plaster over them to rule out allergic reactions.
An eye pencil and your template to mark where you will position the hair system on your head.
Hair drier and styling spray, product maybe too(hair wax).
Probably other things I forgot too.
