just updating as it seems my hair is constantly itching and on fire! I’ve been pretty diligent with treatments, propecia, derm roll at 1.5 once week, super zix formula for topical, essential oils weekly, supplements, iregrowth laser light.

Anyway - I’m not getting anywhere. Looking thinner every month and temples are starting to look bad.

Here’s a pic of my “bad” temple - the other one is in good shape - just looking for opinions

It looks better in the picture in person without toppik my scalp shines through.

Reading posts like yours feels like a kick in the stomach. My hairline is baaad at only 20 years old and you are worried about nothing. You are unnecessarily taking medication, you are Norwood 1. ( no hair loss ) your temples dont look bad they look almost perfect, I dont even have temples anymore. You are wasting your own time and annoying people on here with actual hair loss. Please go see a psychiatrist because its not hair problems you're dealing with.

Thanks for the feedback - even if it is "you're nuts" if that is what it is then I need to hear it.

My concern is - some of my symptoms correlate with male pattern baldness
I DEF have shedding - amounts that are far beyond what they were pre age 28 - I never noticed one hair fall from my head and now I have plenty of hair fall out at any given moment.

I also have burning / itching that accompanies my shedding - now I know that could technically be stress related too - but I read both sides of it.
Shedding and Itching is male pattern baldness
Shedding and Itching could be psychological/stress related.

It's hard for me to think this is completely psychological - I know they talk about Telogen Effluvium from stress and emotional issues - but it just seems odd that would be the case...

I do have pretty bad anxiety / stress that has an underlying trigger that happened a few years back - but then I think there are PLENTY of people that have tremendous stress - they don't shed hair?

You older than 28 and still have that hair?........ Do you have a lot of baldness in your family? Is your dad bald? your uncles? grandfathers?

Your hair does not look bad at all. If you have itchy scalp then you could try nixodil or another shampoo. If you genuinely think your hair is noticeably receding (when all of us do not feel this is the case) and you worry this much and out this much effort into preventing hair loss then you may have an obsession. If you do experience a lot of stress that you think could be causing your itchy scalp or thinning, consider some relaxation/meditation. Massage your temples. This will relax you and could theoretically help your hair/scalp. Do not stress out over this nonexistent hairloss. I know that is easier said then done. Please take comfort in the fact that for 28 your hair looks very good and most people experience some thinning/maturation. I do not think you are crazy, but I don't think it's healthy to focus this much on something like this.

I’m 30 years old
It seems of any family digs enough there’s someone with some sort of hair loss - it’s too common not to exist to some degree

My dad is 56 and receding now but had zero signs of recession until about 50. Not bald by any means but some significant recession

My dad’s father died with a solid head of hair

My moms dad was a bit thin but again died with hair

My moms brother is 60 with fantastic head of hair

Other brother 58 with hair no significant loss

I do believe my mom has uncles that had pretty significant male pattern baldness to the point they lost it al by their 50s/60s

Please stop taking propecia and get help for BDD. I'm not trying to be mean dude, but you are not balding. Not at all.

You legitimately are. not. balding. Your hair is better than 99% of the population at 30 man. Enjoy it.
