Hello everyone,

This is my first post on this website. I became aware of my uneven hairline about 2 years ago and it has not bothered me much until last week when I noticed one of my cousins who had a great set of thick hair (who is 28, four years older than me) balding. I am posting some pictures taken today and would like to get your opinion on whether you think my hairline is receding and I should start taking something to save it or whether my hairline seems fine.

A few facts about myself:

- I'm 24 years old, my grandfather and uncles from my mother's side all experienced balding but on my father's side my grandfather and my uncles all still have a great set of hair.

- I haven't noticed any abnormal amount of hair loss in my bed or when I shower

Receding and forming a mature hairline is what is happening. Early balding is more like a NW3 level which you are not showing just yet. Most men with a mature hair lines tend to recede quicker on the right side than the left. You can either be proactive now and start finasteride or just wait until another 6 months and see where you are at. If not seek professional advice with hair density measuring. Make sure the doctor has this device or forget going to them. The human eye can not measure hair density as accurate in my opinion.

Interesting, now that you mention it: My right side temple has always been a little "bigger" or higher than the left. What is the explanation/logic behind it?
