Topical Estradiol - Avixis!

Hey folks,

I've been thinking about incorporating Avixis (estradiol) into my regimen. My main fear is that I'll grow bítch tits or what have you. I realize that it is mainly an aid for stopping hair loss, so I have no unrealistic expectations about regrowth - it's enough if it helps me keep what I have. It does seem to be the premium DHT blocker which is actually made by pharmaceuticals as opposed to scammy-oil companies.

It stands to reason that in terms of perception, it's harder to measure something that slows down hair loss than something that grows hair. Hair growth is easy to spot, whereas it's hard to tell if your rate of hair loss would have been faster if not for estradiol (unless we are talking about extreme rates of loss, or the controlled environment of a scientific study).

Is there any support to either positive or negative claims on topical estradiol (articles, studies, links, personal experiences)? If it's a product that works, why is it not sold in the US? Does anyone know if the FDA has even considered and rejected it?

Any input on side effects? Has anyone used it successfully??

Hope to hear from you and if I do have a go at it, will report on my results.

PS. I live in Mexico City, and Galaderma has made it available here under the brand name Avixis (previously, I think it's only been made available in countries like Argentina and Brazil, as well as in Europe). This may be useful for some of you, as I have seen posts from Americans who don't know where to buy it. Those of you who don't live far from the border can always take a short trip to stock up now, eh?

Right, the fact that it's topical reduces many of my fears - it's a well known fact that any side effects are immensely reduced compared to an oral intake where the drug has free run of your entire system. I think it's sold in some places under the name Ell-Crannell (something like that).

The main thing that gives me confidence is that throughout Europe and Latin America it is recommended by many dermatologists. And it is made by Galaderma, a bona fide pharmaceutical as opposed to some shady "cosmetic company" that only hawks that one product. But still, it IS a derivate of estrogen. I don't mind the gamble, just wanted to hear people's experiences. And to be honest, I am dreading growing a plump set of b-tits! Though again, since it's topical, I would guess the risk of gyno is far less than say, taking Propecia orally.

What bothers me is that I'll take the chance for nothing. So I'd love it if anyone can tell me if they've used it and feel it works. It's not supposed to regrow any hair, just help your balding process slow down...anyone know?

I've even heard a few comments here and there that 17a estradiol could actually be harmful? Anyone?

Here's the link from the Argentinian page:
http://www.galderma.com.ar/html_version ... vixis.html

(it's in Spanish, though...just shows a pic of the product)

BTW, if anyone in the States can't get it, I'll be glad to help.

Cheers.

I think that using estradiol is not a bad idea and might help with the hair loss. But I wonder if it is systemically absorbed and to what extent. Systemic absorption of estradiol can be big trouble for a man.
