NAME: Kanwaljeet Singh
PROFESSION: Fashion Designer
BALDNESS: Yes
LOOKS BALD: Nope

How? Pull all your hair back and tie it in a bun at top of your head. Grow a beard. Wear glasses (optional).

He has joined Bigg Boss season 9 as a wild card (Indian version of Endemol's Big Brother). I asked a few people at a party at my place this afternoon and everyone said no he's not bald (after they had watched a one hour episode last night). I showed them again from my DVR and the reaction was "Oh yes he is bald, you never notice it). Some pics below (you can see more by googling "Kanwaljeet Singh fashion Designer)

I wouldn't say its innovative as its been shown before, and only in 1 picture you provided does it look decent. In the other 3 out of 4 it looks pretty horrible to be honest I mean you see more scalp then hair in all of the ones provided with the exception of the one that has the watermark covering a lot of the photo.

Yes he looks bald to anyone who tries to answer that question. And he looks bald to everyone as soon as I brought them to it. But the funny thing is noone seems to notice he is bald on casual unless they are reminded of it.

Wait wait wait, a few people at a party is completely anecdotal evidence. Especially since I'm assuming you're receding/bald yourself and they may not want to call anyone bald, and just get away from the awkward topic.

Anyway I couldn't believe how much hair he has in the 4th picture, and how little it looks in the rest (and others I googled). If he wore it a different way he could probably get away with looking maturely receding or something, but with tightening it back like that, he literally looks completely Bruce Willis shaven headed, under any remotely harsh lighting like in the 3rd picture, it looks like there's nothing there at all.

The people at the party are intimate and comfortable enough that I joke with them about my baldness all the time. But I take your point. I also agree if you are thinning it is best to keep a cut #4 or under it looks much better.

He is different. He is a designer and wears kind of clothes you see at fashion shows and acts different (gait, gestures and mannerisms are completely feminine) so he comes across as quite interesting. You should see an episode of Bigg Boss, he is v interesting to say the least

or google 'Bigg Boss season 9 colors'. Try the official site of colors tv other places are quickly removed.

He does rock that hairstyle and he can pull that look off, even if he's bald, I have to give him credit for that. It's proof that bald guys can grow their hair long, if we want to. We're men, and really who is anybody to tell us what we can and cannot do with our hair, even if we do have thin hair. At the end of the day, we have to live with what we look at in the mirror, not other people.

Did you ever notice that the people who tell guys to cut their thinning hair short are usually making money in the hair industry?

Frequent haircutting = More $$ for them.

To be fair its more the shorter your hair the less obvious the thinning will be for the average balding man. I mean everyone generally confirms this the longer your hair the more obvious where your hair has thinned or receded because it will lack volume/density in that area. Not just that if its a person who generally keeps their hair to a regular length that doesn't say require styling like a buzz cut which a lot of people do just for the framing of the face they just invest in a male grooming kit. Which will help you groom your beard/hair.

Not saying people can't pull off long hair looks if they're balding but it really depends on the person since multiple factors are at play. The density of hair that person has, how bad is the recession, does this person have thin or thick hair? In this case it semi works because he isn't trying to hide anything he's pulling it back which exposes his hair loss which shows a degree of confidence in the hairstyle. But for a person that does a longer hairstyle and say has thinned in the temple area longer hair is just going to make that area look worse, while with shorter hair its much easier to conceal. But as stated before really depends on the person.

Another factor is that baldness makes a person look older and this guy is old its out in the open and everyone can see that so that factor doesn't apply.

Even one of the old men in the latest Mission Impossible movie had his hair grown and it was SEVERELY diffuse through out, he was like 60 or 70 plus. Yet it was grown out as it needed to be for that role of an old professional looking guy. If he cropped it, he would look uniform and not be suited to that role. So a lot depends on what you want to see in the mirror as well. Some older men may prefer a diffuse looking longer hair style as opposed to a shaved head which looks thinning but less obvious.
