Do you think these would work? Constructive critiscism would be helpful.

AM:
2% spironolactone liquid (I wish there was a 5% spironolactone liquid)
Dr. Lee's minoxidil

PM:
2% spironolactone liquid
Dr. Lee's minoxidil
Ell Cranell Alpha

I choose the liquid spironolactone because I will be applying it to more than just the hairline/temples but certain areas of the vertex/crown.

I also choose Dr. Lee's because I don't need my hair looking thinner than it already is right now.

My suggestion:

a.m.

-Ell Cranell Alpha...wait 10 minutes
-Dr. Lee's minoxidil

p.m.

-Dr. Lee's minoxidil..wait 10 minutes
-Dr. Lee's 5% spironolactone cream

Shower with Nizoral 3 times a week; let it soak in for 5 minutes before rinsing.

Yeah I was thinking about it now and that would be too many topicals in the PM. Is the spironolactone cream hard to apply if you still have a lot of hair?

I have heard about the *** smell if spironolactone is mixed with minoxidil but hey, there is no perfect solution to everything.

no smell to the cream even if its mixed with minoxidil

the cream is an higher percent "obviously"

it depends on where you planning to apply it

im sure you could use the liquid spironolactone all over your head just like liquid minoxidil

i just use the spironolactone cream on the hairline and temple regions

you are right though with longer hair like yours and mine
it would be difficult to apply it anywhere else but the hairline

cheers bro

Okay Now this might work:

AM:
Sprio 5%
Lee's minoxidil

PM:
spironolactone 5%
Lee's minoxidil

Eventually add in Prox-n

Obsidian,

spironolactone cream is tough to use during the day as it gunks up your hair. I would stick to nightly use.

Okay then finally the revamped and hopefully final version

AM:
Dr. Lee's 2% spironolactone
5% minoxidil (not Lee's)

PM:
Either Lee's 2% or 5% spironolactone
5% minoxidil

Three to four times a week: NANO shampoo (LEF version)/Nizoral 1%

LOL, I don't like it.

Here's what you need to remember: a hair loss regimen must be basic and easy to maintain, otherwise you will ultimately quit out of inconvenience.

2% spironolactone smells AWFUL, and regular minoxidil is too greasy. These two for morning use are fine if you plan to never leave the house, otherwise...

My advice:

a.m.

Dr. Lee's 5% minoxidil

p.m.

Dr. Lee's 5% minoxidil
5% spironolactone lotion

Use Nano alternated with Nizoral.

Give it at least 6 months.

Good luck.

Obsidian, are you going to use the foam which is not greasy and goes on nice like mousse and thickens the hair up cosmetically. Dr Lee's goes on clean and is easier to apply with a dropper but for me it does leave my hair( which is about Obisidian's length) as cosmetically appealing as the foam. I use Lee's minoxidil plus at night since I don't care how it leaves my hair. The foam is harder to apply but if you separate you hair its easier.

I thought it did too until I stopped it and my hair got worse again. The problem with hair treatments is you get discouraged when you shed and if you have synchronized shedding you panic even more. You then want to blame something is not working and then you stop using it. Of course, your hair grows back better and you think it must be because you stop using it. Then 6 months pass and you start to notice things getting worse again. You start reading more success stories with minoxidil and think you are missing out so you get "back on the horse" and try again. Well I got back on minoxidil foam and low and behold my hair got better. I think I learned my lesson by now minoxidil did help me some. Enough to realize that "some" is enough to keep using it. I have also learn when I have my synchronized shedding. My hair looks the best from January to end of March. By the end of March( which is my birth month don't know if there is a correlation or not) my hair starts to shed and look somewhat less thick. From April to June or July, my hair looks crappy. Could be Florida humidity too around that same time. By July to September or beginning of October, my hair recovers and looks good around September. At the end of October it takes another nose dive and looks crappy again. Lets see if I am on target with my predictions. For 3 years I have been right so far. If this year is different then the Hair Complex did make a difference. Obsidian, you need to be prepared for this about being on hair loss treatments. Its a rollercoaster ride of your life. Harry Balls always said to stick to your treatments like a good soldier. He has never been wrong yet. If you ever want good advice just ask H/B aka Harry Balls.

Well I started the foam tonight and the NANO shampoo from LEF is on it's way, i'm sending out the consulation form to Dr. Lee tomorrow. I am kind of worried about the 'violent shed' from the foam but we will see. My hair, specifically hairline and vertex are in terrible shape.

Well I can report that my inflammation may be starting to subside, I think school and adding on top of that stressing out about the R.H. condition really did a number on my hair. Does anyone have any tips to make the foam not get into your hair?

Obsidian just part your hair in sections. Its going to get on your hair but it will act like styling mousse and thicken up your hair.
